Have you talked to her other than that thread? Won't hurt to drop her a message if you haven't. You never know, and even if they just tell you to come hang around with no pay, it would still be worth it.

I did send her a message. She replied and said thanks but it won't work for this position. She said she would pass my resume onto the department head though, in case they find something else.

I would need some sort of pay if I were going to move to CO from CA.
