I just have a passion for the Barret 50. Call me crazy but to be able to take out an armored vehicle over a mile away just makes me happy.
I am going to go play with one today. At the gun shop where I am going, not gonna get to fire it. Taking the daughter to lunch and she wants to, as she said, "fondle the 50"

Can't go wrong with a JMB design.

My Dad and I bought a dummy round from an A-10 at an airshow. The depleted Uranium projectile was replaced with plastic, but the case is real. It is the big one in that chart if I am not mistaken.

Got me a couple of inert big ones, haven't measured em yet, but i think they is a a #56 on that chart, but not FMJ, looks like lead tip .
Shootin was fun, starting to lay down nice patterns at 25 meters And my double tapping @ 10 meter , well, zombies better zig zag really well..

That #58 isn't an A10 Thunderbolt round,
Gau avenger fires 30mm rounds, they are even bigger. 57 is Vulcan 20 mm round M793 is a 25 mm practice round for an M242 automatic gun, found on a Bradley fighting vehicle...A10 has a bigger one, but i'm sure it will mess up your day if sent flying at ya.

JMB was a genius. So simple yet so effective. The first time I did a complete teardown of a 1911, I did so with no manual. Its just so intuitively designed...

well the trickiest part when i first did it (apart from springs trying to escape), was be getting the sear assembly back into the frame, takes some getting used to, but i've figured it out by now.
And the plunger spring is a royal pain in the ass if you want to get it back in without scratching the stainless. and yes, JMB was a Genius, all these components designed in 3d without a computer ... And still everything fits so nicely together, there isn't really anything out of place or to big or cumbersome.. Everything is just right. multiple safety functions, yet very little parts to provide them..

Changed the foreend and added a couple of rails and found a home for my laser. Next is going to be a tac light. The bottom rail holds my bipod very well. That is going to come in handy when I sight this thing in. all 3 sights

from what i hear, not.
no lasers, silencers or anything that fires more then 1 round per pull of the trigger. Personally i don't think lasers are all that anyway.. Sure you see yer poi but you give away your own location as well.
