Alarick, yesterday was probably not the best day to paint your fence. Wood was probably still moist from the rain on Friday and today won't help. :) Ya might be paining the fence again really soon. :D

Rick just think of today as a good reference point for the opposite of a good day. It is like ugly people as a point or reference to what is pretty.

Rick V 01-23-2012 03:35 PM

I'll just view it as done and over with. :)

Rick, why would my Corolla suddenly decide to pull to the left? I haven't hit anything or found any deep potholes.

GH85Carrera 01-23-2012 03:44 PM

I has become a democrat Toyota.

Brake dragging, axle binding, voting too liberal?

porsche4life 01-23-2012 03:52 PM

What do your tire pressures look like? My corolla would have a low left front tire if it is pulling hard....

slodave 01-23-2012 03:53 PM

I forgot about that. I was going to check them.

HHI944 01-23-2012 03:54 PM

Evening gents......chilling at the cigar lounge....its all about the little things...life is good.

porsche4life 01-23-2012 03:56 PM

You might as well buy into the place... Sounds like you are there as much as the employees....

HHI944 01-23-2012 04:05 PM

Employee......
as long as things go as im planning financially this year, I intense to buy his partners out around this time next year. The shop is starting to perform decently and his partners are really limiting things because they're idiots. There's a lot of potential. It'll be ~55k to buy em out....the most I've ever spent in one shot by a huge margin......

GH85Carrera 01-23-2012 04:05 PM

Just don't burn up all the profits.

GH85Carrera 01-23-2012 04:07 PM

That is a lot of money that is from ashes.

RKDinOKC 01-23-2012 04:13 PM

Has the shop started performing decently since YOU started hanging out there?

HHI944 01-23-2012 04:18 PM

Yes, but not because of me. It has re-established a strong core of regulars....

Porsche-poor 01-23-2012 04:21 PM

YIKES! A day from hell. I hate taking off to. Then again I don't work a full week and get left loads of crap to finish or fix when I come back in.

As in don't get high on your own supply?

porsche4life 01-23-2012 04:28 PM

I see it being like the advice our mechanic gave a local bar owner. There needs to be one sober guy in every bar, it's best if that's the owner.

HHI944 01-23-2012 04:30 PM

The current owner and partners reopened the shop after the first owner closed up due to health reasons....
the first owner was grossing about 600k/yr.....netting around 200.....and that was paying two employees...
Things aren't quite back to that.....being closed nearly a year between owners hurt....
if we can get things back to there, reasonably looking at 120k/yr each....probably take several years to get back to that, but should be a sound long term investment.
