It's rainy, it's not coming out in the wet anymore.

Still need to get license plates for it.
I'll get those when the weather improves. No point in paying taxes when I'm not planning to take it out.

It's not broken in by a long shot. I took it from the mechanic to my parents house on temporary tags., that was about 50miles....

Man, that engine would have been broken in by now if it were me.. yer nuts to wait.
We got cold ,dry weather forcast.. perfect for a decent drive... frigging get'r done

RKDinOKC 01-23-2012 07:04 AM

I'm thinking of getting an iPad to shorten the commute even more.

I'll keep checking into it though...

And glen, my hands are pretty average, pretty long fingers, skinny though....

i'd recommend a helmet, for sure, i have a loaner. goggles are a must, i two loaner pairs. they aren't great, but they work. i have some good loaner mittens, burton. now that i think about it, i have four snowboards and an extra pair of burton boots. what size are your feet?

Geronimo '74 01-23-2012 07:44 AM

Sid don't wear helmets... (unless they're pink... ) :D

nynor 01-23-2012 07:46 AM

that's okay. i have excellent first aid skills and a good first aid kit.

nynor 01-23-2012 07:47 AM

i think i may get the 951 up on stands today, in anticipation of pulling the exhaust.

HHI944 01-23-2012 07:48 AM

Morning Gents...

G, the car looks awesome! Get it out there on the road!

Geronimo '74 01-23-2012 07:49 AM

Beware, pulling the exhaust had me doing a complete rebuild...

I'm putting the whale tail back together this weekend.
Right now, I have a plain decklid... in white... (no, I'm not showing pics of the rear, my car looks like a crossbreed between a penguin and a waiter in a restaurant....)

GH85Carrera 01-23-2012 08:18 AM

G man my Carrera came from the factory with windshield wipers and even squirters for the headlights and the windshield. The car will not shrink if it gets wet. The windshields wipers work great. Drive that thing!

Geronimo '74 01-23-2012 09:54 AM

Great windshield wipers on a 3.2??
They're not really known for being very effective...
Mine are horrible on a good day. And they are brand new too.
I'm going to try and avoid rain from now on. Especially with the street legal semi slick racing tires that I putting on my Ruf wheels, I need to stay out of the wet.
