Admittedly, it looks sexier than it rides, IMO. It rides great and puts a smile on my face, but there is a bit of slop in it. The throttle response, the steering, the suspension.

This, though, is an absolute can't-stop-grinning blast to ride. (Well, up until you get stranded somewhere.) Everything's a touch sharper on it, and it definitely requires more attention/involvement to ride, which is the fun. It's very anti-social.

Unfortunately, I think there's a charging system problem with it that I need to look into this weekend.

Purdy. Me likey. But I find sports bikes hard to ride. Maybe I need more time on them but they aren't made for a woman's body. But like I said, maybe I need more time with them. But I am getting old. Cruiser more my pace. lol!

they aren't made for a man's body either. they are made for one thing: cornering at high speed.

intoxicating.

sportbike riding is not a passive activity. i rode up the canyon twice, about an hour's activity. my quads were sore the next day.

if i wanted to follow cars in the canyons, i'd own a harley.

I'd almost be afraid to ride a Harley or other cruiser bike. Those things are so ridiculously heavy. If I were to ever drop one, I'd never be able to pick it back up myself.

I said I'd ride that 900, not that I'd buy it....

If I'm buying, probably going to be a newer 888..... I just love those bikes. Need to see if I fit on one first though....

Why do I keep getting the 848 and the 888 mixed up? Its the 848 I drool on....

I like the 748 too, but the lights on the 749 just don't do it for me.

I don't see why you wouldn't fit on an 848 (that's what you want, right?). By the time you've graduated from school, get a job, and start to have a bit of disposable income, it'll be a perfect time to pick a used one up for half off its original retail price. That 848 is damn sexy. I've got a buddy back in Boston who has one for a track bike. (His street bike is a highly-modded 1098R.)

748 is sexy, but uncomfortable. Then again, you're young. 749 is more comfortable and capable, but semi-fugly. My 888 is old-school. Kinda like an F-86 or MiG-15.

I just don't want the hospital bed time that would come with me getting one of those.

Manischewitz is a company that makes matzo and wine (kosher). It's mostly a ceremonial wine and most of the time is sweet like grape juice - which is why kids love it, but it has something like 5.7% alcohol by volume. It's not a wine you want to drink by the glass with a nice piece of salmon.

Just never developed a taste for wine. Probably because my parents were tea totallers.
