I looped my E36 at Summit Point in the rain one time, that was a valuable lesson in instant lack of traction

Although if Tweeze was the nurse it might not have been so bad. :D

Mostly I did not like being around old, sickly people, or confined to a bed with nothing to do.

That is why I respect bike riding. I wear a helmet, riding boots, all the protective gear, even if it's hot in AZ.

I took a riding class. I don't want to be one of those dumb idiots that just gets on a bike and rides it around the block and think they are all good.

Mmmmmm... Soft tacos. Might have to find me a Mexican restaurant.

The worst thing was the string of minor, low speed falls I had over an extended period that kept my knee swollen or at least sore. There is probably some permanent scar tissue in there. It was like that for months. I don't think it ever got to be the same. Poor thing just kept getting bashed and breaking my falls.

I've looped my 944 enough times at autocross to know I don't want it to happen anywhere else.... Went nose first into a ditch once too.... not fun....

It is kinda crazy that cyclists wear only a helmet for protection. Spandex won't do anything. Really for the downhill we should be wearing leathers like motorcycle riders, but try doing a big climb in leathers and a full face helmet. :D

Ha ha! Max, I am very nice nurse. I have had a lot of my patients tell me I am gentle when I put their IV in. But my background is cancer, not trauma or ER.

Flieger 04-11-2012 06:03 PM

The ER docs were great. Very attentive. The intensive care or whatever I was transferred to, not so much.

tweezers74 04-11-2012 06:04 PM

Ooooooooo, Sidney! Me likey that blue!!!!! Purdy!
