The Landy is running amazing!
Took her to the mudhole......eventually flooded the distributor and got stuck in the middle.........left it there for an hour while I went to fetch a compressor to blow everything out.........came back, it was sink about a foot deeper.....some guys were laughing and telling me they'd help pull it out........lit right up when I blew out the distributor.......pulled right out in 2L.......fun day, Lotsa mud, **** some jeep dorks up too! |
Yep, seems 4x4 are strangely attracted to mud holes.

Howdy folks. I am tired. Last night we went to dinner and the a/c on the Elky was fine. For the trip home, no a/c. I checked every part and in seems to be the compressor. I recovered the coolant and then I got to mow the yard! I went to NAPA and all they had was a compressor that was clocked at 12 not 9. O'rilleys had to order one that would be in at 4 Pm. It was the wrong compressor. They claim they will have the right one in tomorrow at noon.

I have the race recording on my DVR. I wish you guys would quit spoiling the results. I am several hours behind. I will go to bed and catch up in the morning. Please quit spoiling the race!

It will be a busy day tomorrow. Get up early and take Mrs. Carrera to breakfast. Then go to the grocery store to get the other food for the big Father's day feast. I have invested in some prime quality steaks. Those suckers cost about 20 bucks each. Dad is worth it. Then I have to swap in the new compressor. After that make the home made ice cream and get the steaks ready to cook before dad and his girl friend get here. We have one other couple showing up so I have to cook 6 of my steaks. They are all worthy.

ah.... AC.... i've been thinking about recharging the AC in the 951. sort of. i like to suffer.

I can't go without AC. Been there, done that, ain't gonna do it again. I have all the tools to do it and it is easy work. The AC on the Elky is amazing when it is working properly. On a 110 degree day when the car has been in the sun all day I can get 40 degree air from the vents in short order. In my 8 mile drive home I will not run the AC at max all the way home. It gets cold in there!

After a day of playing in the mud with the landy, i spent te evening out drinking and smoking with an incredible woman. She's 39, drinks, smokes and shoots..........alas, she's married and just a friend......but had a great time and drank a ridiculous amount of wine. Anyone tried the Rodney Strong 2007 reserve???? Simply incredible....
