My wife took off work today, tomorrow and Tuesday. Since Monday is a holiday she gets a extra extra real long weekend.

Right in the middle of a home improvement project you realize you need to go to Home Depot to get something to finish the job. Depending on your age, you might do the following...

In your 20's:
Stop, Shower, change clothes cause you might like the cute girl running the register.

In your 30's:
Stop, wash hands and change clothes cause the cute girl at the register might be the kid sister of someone you know.

In your 40's:
Stop, change shirt, shoes and put on hat. The cute girl at the register might know your daughter and you don't want to embarrass her.

In your 50's:
Stop, wipe hands on shirt, put on hat. After you get back to your car realize cute girl at register was only being polite.

In your 60's:
Stop, no hat needed any more, girl at register might be cute but you don't know because you don't have your glasses on.

In your 70's:
Stop, wait to go to Home Depot when your prescription is ready at Walgreens. Cute girl at register reminds you of your granddaughter.

In your 80's:
Stop, start again, then stop again. Remember you needed to go to Home Depot. Go to Walmart instead and can't remember what you needed. Went to school with the old lady greeter at the front door.

In your 90's:
Fart and think someone called your name.

about the time i turned 30, i skipped right to about 50.

If I am in the middle of a project it does not bother me one iota to go to the store while I am sweaty and dirty. I only clean up enough to not get the seats in my car dirty.

nynor 05-24-2012 09:25 AM

yep. i get just clean enough not to mess up the car i am taking and leave. i might put my hair back into a pony-tail, once my hands are clean.

RKDinOKC 05-24-2012 09:26 AM

That puts you in the 50's category. Along with myself I might add.

RKDinOKC 05-24-2012 09:31 AM

If have OCD:
Stop, wash hands, wash hands, wash hands, wash hands, turn around three times, wash hands, clean house.

My wife has been mad at me for going to the parts store while wearing old grease stained clothes. More than a few of my shirts are designated as yard work or car work clothes. Sometimes the clothes look dirty but that is all stains from previous projects. I simply don't see the purpose in changing into a nicer t-shirt to go the the auto parts store and then have to change back again after I get home.

well, the 951 lives. it did blow a bit of gas soaked paper towel out the tail pipe. and it does seem that the whole adventure was initiated due to a loose oil filler cap. thanks for the support, guys.

let the hazing begin.... :)

Time for you to finally move up to changing your car's blinker fluid. Isn't DiY grand? SmileWavy

nynor 05-24-2012 01:10 PM

already changed the blinker fluid. the gas soaked paper towels lubricated the muffler bearings. i should be good to go.

Hey Rick, Vas.

vas930 05-24-2012 02:41 PM

How are you today ,Rick.
I had what may be the best sleep of all time.
To top it off, a bit of morning nude time and now she is making breaky.
Can life get any better.
Oh and nothing to do for the day.

vas930 05-24-2012 02:42 PM
