i suppose that no place is truly safe.... that said, i live spot damn in the middle of the city, so i doubt the fires are going to get here. however, some idiot with some fireworks could probably burn down the neighborhood. it is truly dry and hot.

i hear the fires in the australian bush are truly nuts. a bit of broken glass magnifying the sun in 45C weather can get the whole place dancing.

And now for the interesting stuff.... I've been eating some damned good food. I forgot to take a picture thursday night, but I started my beach trip with blackened Mahi Mahi and a Landshark Lager....

Then tonight was a garlic crusted grouper with half of a lobster tail....
