That is just the customer I mentioned recently. A job nearly two years old and all she knew was it was an aerial photo. Since that is all we do that did not help.

i found this butterfly in my yard. i think it is injured, probably from a car. i brought it in to let it rest and drink some sugar water. it isn't getting better, so i think my initial diagnosis is correct. my son was super excited to check it out.

Morning

Lucky there was nobody at home. The drive is indeed an arse for bailing.

When I was in the airforce, a couple of pilots ejected from a jet as it was climbing out of a touch and go (so they had a fire warning light come on - big deal). The idiots left the jet flying itself toward a nearby town some 5km from the end of the runway. My house was pretty much in the line of fire. Fortunately it's course changed and it plugged into a paddock full of dairy cows, missing a farm house by about 100 meters.

The Monarch butterflies migrate through Oklahoma. Some years they are thick. Along the interstate there are zillions of dead ones.

Okay Lanna and I are going to go blow off some steam. Y'all have fun

nynor 06-26-2012 04:15 PM

i already did that with ingrid.....

BTW, i love that video of the femmes!!!!

nynor 06-26-2012 04:16 PM

oh, and a small update regarding the AC in ingrid:

at idle, the temp at the vent is about 15 - 25F below ambient (why the big fluctuation, i have no idea). at freeway speeds, it is about 40F below ambient. does that sound right?

nynor 06-26-2012 04:19 PM

a highway patrolman in a charger cut our fun off at 70MPH. things were just starting to get fun in parley's canyon.... it was a bit of a bummer. except i already showed a pontiac GTP what the back of a 951 looks like.

GH85Carrera 06-26-2012 08:06 PM

D, I don't know about the 944 AC but it should blow cold air! My 911 (with its upgraded AC) was blowing 40 degree vent temp on a 100 degree day after a short time after sitting in the sun for 20 minutes. Your car should do that as well.

Wow, finished Maus I and II. Read the whole thing within 24 hours. This is a somewhat unfamiliar experience for me - reading a book for a class. The form it is written/drawn in really draws you in and keeps you reading.

There was one part that really grabbed me. Had to do with the saint I am named after comforting the main character in Auschwitz (while that saint was still alive).

I was reading it in the garden area of my appartment complex, with the wonderful views of the mountains around me. Really made for a contrast to what went on then.

Woulda made doc proud tonight. I happen to be in MS so Dueller took us to a blues bar. Got to sit back and relax and watch a pretty good old blues band play their hearts out while we had a few beers and some good southern grub. Jim is a great guy, you all should look him up if you ever make it to the south!

porsche4life 06-26-2012 10:15 PM

Sitting in MS tonight. Hope to be in Norman OK for dinner tomorrow....
