Hey, airfare was $545 round trip. It's the $496 "International Surcharge" that really brings the price up. A couple hundred in misc charges as well.

Purchase and replace raided hard drives in the email list server, (it's 10 years old).
Overhead garage door being replaced (involves moving shelves and lawn equipment out of harms way.)
Exterior of house getting repainted (involves tying back some trees and shrubs out of painter's way.)
Drop off and pickup Mom at hair dressers.
Take Mom to Chiropractor.
Go visit friend's dad for 77th birthday (has altzheimer's worse than my Mom).
