By the way, while I was in lab the rest of the English class went to see the Dark Knight Rises. I would not have gone anyway as I haven't seen any of the Batman movies. I am sure much of Monday will be spent discussing the movie (it was not mandatory as it was not during a regular class time).

What, that I haven't seen any of the Batman movies?

I am really put-off by the new Batmobile. What happened to the cool jet car with the fins?

Seriously max....

Time to get started packing... Heading to warm, beautiful, Mobile, Alabama in the morning... ;) Working a convention there until Sunday... Of course I can't complain too much, I'm getting paid, and that includes the golf course time... ;)

Name any recent major film and I have most likely not seen it.

Last time I was in a theater was when Senna was playing down near Dave's neighborhood. Before that, I can't remember. I know I saw Shrek back in grade school. And Pearl Harbor. Man, that was a mistake!

Max, You need to learn to enjoy things... I can't tell you how many times I have gone to movies that I really wasn't that thrilled about, but someone I knew wanted to go see it. I enjoyed most of them too. Why? Because I was in good company, because I was open to seeing new things, trying new things, and getting my ass out of the house...

You wanna get a girl? Volunteer to go see a chick flick with her when she starts blabbing about it. Most of them have a few funny bits, and it will earn you BOOKOO brownie points....

Or dont... Your choice.. ;)

I think I will just keep on keepin' on. I think the occasional gloomy thoughts are not as bad as wandering around looking for a place to socialize. When I take a closer look I think I may have grown to like the feeling. It is kind of trippy.

Geez! What is with the forum today? Is it still from that SSD failure from a couple weeks ago? It took 5 minutes for that reply to post and my browser to redirect me.

Flieger 07-25-2012 07:53 PM

Seems faster now, though. Weird.

Yes. :p:D

Pearl Harbor: Was seeing Kate Beckinsale not enough? Who cares what goes on in the rest of the stupid movie?

Batman: I'm not a big movie-goer. OK, I don't like most movies. But the most recent Batman (with Heath Ledger as Joker) was phenomenal. Because of Heath Ledger. Absolutely psychotic. You're in that comic book English class: watching the movie was like watching a graphic novel. At least you'll have some insight on the whackjob Aurora movie killer dude. For the new movie, if everyone else (in your class) is going to watch the movie, go ahead an do it too. At least you'll have something to talk about (or know what the rest of the class is talking about).

How do Rick's quote and mine go together? I can be kind of slow at these things.

nynor 07-25-2012 07:58 PM

happy in one's misery.

We won't be tested on it and it was during an EE lab. I felt that being there for my two lab partners was more important than watching a silly movie. There was another guy from the English class in the EE lab as well.

Pearl Harbor was way too long and I was way too young to care about the story. I just wanted to see planes shooting $hit up! :D

Ah, so you got the wrong quote in the first post. Now I get it. :) I have no regrets about missing Batman.
