Holy crap. I know vista has a ton of updates but this is nuts. The laptop I put together last week is running vista home premium and was never updated (2009 vintage) I did update after update until it said there was no more, now there are 62 more.
This laptop is the same OS and I have kept up with it and don't have those issues. When will it end? YIKES!!

I will be a bachelor this weekend and for a couple of days next week. Mrs. Carrera is going on a business trip to DC. I was talking to an old friend and he mentioned that a mutual friend had just got a divorce after 30 years. I was floored.

He accepted an invite to dinner at my house Sunday night. I think I will grill some steaks and we can drink some beer, burp & fart and tell dirty jokes. It should be fun. He has been a mentor on many projects of mine of the years. He is a real Renaissance man. When I get stumped on a household project I usually call him for advice.

Quiet day in the office. Only noteworthy item is I just scheduled our next trip to SoCal and booked the flights. Now, it's the wait until we travel. Ack.
