Glad it made it. If he is going to use a battery, you will need to pull the pins from the hinge on the pedal to remove it.

Is that specifically about The Wall? I like pretty much everything else Pink Floyd.
The Wall is growing on me a little bit just from a musical enjoyment perspective. I have listened to it more because of this thread. I am now ok with it, but I prefer lots of other songs to it.

The English class went over the Batman movie today for about 25 minutes. Interesting to hear the conversation, but it was rather PARFy so I'll leave it at that.

Cute gal. Like the hot pink against her tan skin. Although I have to say her waist is a little too small for natural means. Not to be a buzz kill or anything. Just sayin'. I think if she had a normal waist, she would still be smoking.

On a different note, can I bring some angst instead of Max? I like the new job but I took it to be more in AZ, closer to my boys and it isn't panning out that way. I really like my boss but for example, next week, my son starts school and I really want to be there. My ex isn't really active in that stuff and doesn't see it as a special time. It breaks my heart for not one of his parents to be there to see him off for his first day. Is that being dumb? I asked my boss about it but he doesn't seem too sympathetic. I am considering taking the day off but last time I wanted to take a vacation day, my boss's reply was," You just started. Why do you need a vacation?" Advice?

You shout in your sleep
Perhaps the price was just too steep
Is your conscience at rest
If once put to the test
You awake with a start
To just the beating of your heart
Just one man beneath the sky
Just two ears just two eyes

You set sail across the sea
Of long past thoughts and memories
Childhood's end your fantasies
Merge with harsh realities
And then as the sail is hoist
You find your eyes are growing moist
And all the fears never voiced
Say you have to make the final choice

Who are you and who am I
To say we know the reason why
Some are born some men die
Beneath one infinite sky
There'll be war and there'll be peace
But everything one day will cease
All the iron turned to rust
All the proud men turned to dust
So all things time will mend
So this song will end.

There is only one first day of school for your boy. There will be plenty of days of work, even if that means finding a new job -- you will just be in a better place then. Just call in sick. What can he say to that?

Her bag is making her waist appear Barbie-thin.

Boss is single, with no kids? Maybe I've been lucky and had sympathetic bosses - I've always been granted time off to be with my kids whenever I asked. Time for a mental health day?

I can feel one of them coming on for myself this week

I am gonna carry a bag every time I wear a bikini from now on.

And I feel exactly like you do about the job, Max. My boys mean the world to me and I am considering shopping for a new job but feel like it is almost petty (to the company, not me). I just started this job so I feel like a quitter but if I demand I have those days off I know I will ruffle some feathers and label me as high maintenance.

No, not single. Wife stays home. So he doesn't care. She stays home and does all that. He didn't even know when his kids started school.

Well, the alternative view would be that he needs to get used to being away from you at school so no sense in spending the first day there with him...

Edit: You just said seeing him off. That sounds appropriate.

He sounds like a d-bag to me based on that.

Hmmm, wife and kids are accessories...that's a shame. I never could get that. Maybe thats partly why Sharyn and I are approaching our 26th anniversary?

I say mental health day. Boss is probably detached from his wife to the point that he probably thinks women get sick all the time anyway, he wouldn't think anymore of it. Keep the day's activities quiet, shouldn't be a problem.
