Morning folks. I took a shower like a regular human today. No body parts or areas had to be wrapped in plastic, and with a long handle brush-sponge I can even wash my feet. I did have my wife help dry my legs and feet since I am not allowed to bend more than 90 degrees at the hips.

showering with the wife. always a good time. :D

Morning all. A fine how do ya do....a day off with a migraine.

GH85Carrera 09-03-2012 11:09 AM

Welp, I decided to take the Mrs to lunch. That went fine. Stopped at the local grocery store to get bananas and grapes. Went to start the Elky and the starter is dead. Insert profanity string. The good news is we are sitting in an air conditioned restaurant. The towing company will be here in 45 minutes.

I called a buddy and he can come install a new starter for me. Ain't no way I can do that yet. At least I will be back driving tomorrow.

Passed 70K, good job, bunch o' slackers... :D

I talked to Radu today at the Mulholland Highway lookout above the Rock Store. He's a nice guy and that 993 is way cooler than I thought.

GH85Carrera 09-03-2012 01:48 PM

The Elky is in my garage. I have the replacement starter in hand. A buddy is on the way to R&R the starter. It is 102 degrees outside. The garage AC is struggling to get it to 85 in there. That is still much better than 102. With the fans running it is not too bad.

Head in check. Now to attempt to get some stuff done.

Still cruising around outback Queensland, on the dinosaur trail. Tomorrow, we are heading towards the coast for a couple of days fishing.

Here ya go Dave, the Southern Cross (on a full moon) :D from Porcupine Gorge National Park, Saturday night.

Last night, I had another go as the moon was a little later rising. Hmm couldn't manage to get a good photo for some reason....perhaps too much port again...

Jeff that's a lovely photo, sigh can't see anything much here because of the humidity haze, not really true, but its too bloody hot to go outside and have a look, although the moon has looked pretty sexy the last few evenings when it has just been coming up.

been finishing up reading the sons US Government assignment, bloody hell, you guys really do know how to write a Constitution, have had to read the Summer of 1787, better things to do with my time, but had to help the midget! The school didn't seem to think that not being in the USA , not being enrolled at the school, not having decided to take the AP Government class and not having a copy of the book, were not an excuses acceptable to not having to pass in the Summer Holiday Assignment, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

All done now, and damn if it doesn't look too bad, really since we have come from a Westminster System of government and this whole Democracy/ Electoral College jargon is new to us!!!! We don't have a presidency to worry about.

Anyway time for bed, still looking for a nice 80s Porsche if anyone knows a nice one, no Targa's or Convertibles, just not practical in Maryland. Night all

Flieger 09-03-2012 07:58 PM

Wow, that school administration blows.

Porsche-poor 09-03-2012 08:06 PM

Tell them you are exempt from the assignment.....diplomatic immunity!

Flieger 09-03-2012 08:10 PM

In Commonwealth Australia, assignment passes you!

Porsche-poor 09-03-2012 10:04 PM
