meh. i like cleaning firearms. a ruger 10/22 that has been neglected is one of my favorites.

Nope I have a better plan for him, the kind of plan that will cost him customers. When I leave it is going to be lightning fast and with no notice. He doesn't have anybody in the shop that can do the kind of work I do and he has managed to get a good stream of it coming in, so when I leave he will not be able to do the work.

hmm.... what did he do to get your ire up?

HHI944 09-30-2012 07:06 PM

The FAL was interesting when I got it..........teach me to buy a weapon from a seaman........
The freaking gas piston was solid black........

Waiting for Monday night to care.

I think I am as close as I can get with the shift knobs. Don't know why the one I copied looks a little smaller in the pic. Not so in person. Hopefully I can get signed off tomorrow and get to work turning them out.

it looks smaller because either a. it is smaller, b. it is darker in color, or c. a combination of both.

those are super nice, dave.

Porsche-poor 09-30-2012 07:25 PM

It looks further back in the shot. Perspective issue.

slodave 09-30-2012 07:30 PM

Okay, okay. The center one is slightly smaller, but it is not noticeable in person. :) I was asked to make them with a 48mm diameter, which I have - though I should double check the tool I am using to gauge that.

No, they are pretty much in a straight line.

Porsche-poor 09-30-2012 07:55 PM

Either way damn fine job. Can you send me some of the magic?

Porsche-poor 09-30-2012 07:56 PM

48mm or 1.88976378"
