I usually spend Christmas day with my brother and his family...He has 3 kids and 20 grandkids. I usually take it as a challenge to find a gift to give each of the 20 kids the same thing that they all will like, and it is cheap. My brother and his kids get a little preturbed because all the grandkids look forward to seeing what Uncle Richard is going to get them more than their parents or grandparents.

Well, there has been a riff in my brother's family with one of the two brothers resigning from the family business. I was told that since there were problems they wouldn't be all getting together this year and it would be a good year for me to stop giving all the kids a gift. Hmmmm...

Oh yeah, I usually make a quart of Mango Salsa for all the adults I gift for Christmas. With my foot and the not standing thing I will not be able to do that this year.

well, the new dog and our newfoundland got in a fight this morning. i saw that coming. the problem is that our newfoundland now has a 1 inch gash through the skin where her neck and shoulder meet. dammit. i started her on antibiotics and if it doesn't close by tomorrow morning, she'll be going to the vet. they can't fit me in this afternoon, anyway, and i don't think she is going to let me suture her, so there it is. meanwhile, she isn't going to bleed to death, so antibiotics is about all i can do. what a PITA.
