I have my new fast computer churning on a big PhotoShop batch. 300+ images that are 1.6 Gigs each.

The same basic batch took 14 minutes on my old computer per image. The new machine does it in 30 seconds! :) :)

My brother LOVE's Starbucks. He even proudly uses Starbucks as the backdrop in his world travel pictures. There are few coffee or even donut shops so prolific.

I remember back when there used to be as many Winchel's donut shops as there are Starbucks now.

Oh yeah, me not partake this beverage known as coffee. After having some fresh ground/brewed mix at a friends that I liked, tried duplicating it locally to no avail. Later tired friends brew again and it was not so good. So, none for me, thanks.

Hey Richard how is the foot?

Are you starting to put weight on it?

I really want someone to by my lunch soon! :)

Still gots holes. Doc says to keep elevated until holes are gone, then can start working on it being below my heart depending on swelling.

Holy 5hit Richard, I cannot get over how long it is taking to heal up, must be like the olds getting an ulcer and taking a year to heal, I think I would have had myself put down by now. Glad you are "made of sterner stuff" as they used to say back in Oz!(mentally anyway).

You are going to be like a newby who has never been outside of their house! Bet you are wondering what the outside is looking like? They will have hover cars by the time you get around to being able to drive again, lol.

I just can't imagine your life atm. Hope that you get better sooner rather than later, and you can get your life back. How goes it with the lack of salary etc? Did you have insurance to cover all of your medical costs etc?

Evening all

Interesting weekend. Did some work on the 944. Got bit by a spider - don't think it was one of these but you never know, there's lots of them about and it was rather sore for a couple of days.

First time a spider bite turned into a sore.

Christmas party on Saturday night, then indigestion on Sunday - to the point I couldn't sleep Sunday night. Chucked a sickie yesterday as my guts were still crook, and I was dog tired. Still not 100%. Bloody crappy reflux! :(

Looks like you all must of had a busy weekend - not much activity here.

GH85Carrera 12-03-2012 03:51 PM

Ah yes Oz, the land of BAD MEAN DEADLY SPIDERS everywhere. And a few bad snakes as well.

We do have Black Widdows here. And the Fiddle back or brown recluse.

GH85Carrera 12-03-2012 04:02 PM

Chucked a sickie. I will have to remember that.

porsche4life 12-03-2012 04:12 PM

Sounds like a black widow bite.... If you start feeling worse Jeff, get your ass to the ER...

Has insurance with what they call short term disability. However, company is still paying my salary. They just announced an end of year bonus of 6.5% of last 6 months salary. That will cover what is left of my doc bills. Not sure what the special shoe is going to cost.

Doc says this usually takes 6 months and he expects my foot to be healed over by Christmas. I've basically grown back 1/3rd of a foot in 4 months.

I can hardly see when outside in the daylight, it is soooo bright. Noticed today I can't see as we'll inside during daylight with just the extra light of habing my doors and window shades open.

Just doing what I have to to keep my foot so I can drive my Porsche.

Relax, put your feet up.

Porsche-poor 12-03-2012 08:16 PM

Do that and I might pass out.

GH85Carrera 12-03-2012 08:16 PM

It is called sleep, not passing out.
