That is a fun project. I put a new switch in mine back in 1996. The factory switch lasted 11 years. The replacement has lasted 16 years. I did put in the headlight relay mod many years ago. Hopefully I will not have to do the stalk anytime soon.

The one thing I didn't want to do, was start pulling Marilyn apart, I did that to Pusha and she is still in pieces. Her name was not Pusha, but after two years of the only time she moved was when you Pusha, well it stuck!!!:)

The switch looked fairly new so I just put the new one in and will keep the other as a spare, and play with the gaps between the contacts, they were just a little bit out.

Too bad you are as far away as you are Azzy, I can do that switch with my eyes closed.

Funny, Glen. I run because I find that's the only way I stay in shape. I hate the gym so if I sign up for "events" and fun stuff like surfing, snowboarding, pole dancing, marathon running, I have fun and don't even realize I am working out. I tried going to the gym for years and it would always fail and I would spend a ton of money on contractual memberships and I don't even get fit because I would quit in three months. This fun stuff has worked for me for over 5 years now. I am sticking with it! :)

Uggggggg!!! My son needs $500 in dental work. Both of my sons have brittle baby teeth so they crack easily. My older son had to have caps put on most of his baby teeth to protect them. My younger son, two have cracked. I need to find a job pronto. If this interview doesn't pan out, I am gonna have to suck it up and go back to floor nursing and take the $30000/yr pay cut but what are you gonna do?

Or I need to win the Powerball. Ha ha ha!!!

Rick V 11-28-2012 03:45 PM

Well so far as the powerball goes I think I have the winning ticket

Rick V 11-28-2012 03:56 PM

Okay this is not cool. Three of my cats are staring down the hallway with big eyes, and the monster cat is growling.

you didn't waste two dollars?

i wanted to drive to idaho and spend about $20, just for fun. i just didn't have the time this week. i think i have spent about $6 total in my life on lottery tickets. i don't expect to win, but it is fun and i am not spending my kid's shoe money or rent.

update on gigi: the wound looks great, no infection. yay for tetracycline! she is back to her happy self.

Rick your odds are just a little over 175,000,000 to 1. Good luck. I suspect you will be back at work tomorrow. I hope you win.

175 million to one is just a tax on the math impaired.

Rick V 11-28-2012 04:01 PM

Yes I bought a couple of tickets, and just like the last time I had the winning numbers but the jackasses at the lottery drawing grabbed the wrong ones. I hope that doesn't happen tonight.

GH85Carrera 11-28-2012 04:03 PM

I drove by two convenience stores on the way to the grocery store to by some fruit. Both convenience stores had FULL parking lots of math impaired people buying lottery tickets.

Rick V 11-28-2012 04:06 PM

Well Glen when I hit it, I am going to call it new-new math. :)
I figured what the hell I was already at the store.

slodave 11-28-2012 04:16 PM

Boy, some people can be so bitter about the lotto. :) If someone wants to throw a couple of bucks in, why not? It's not really any different from Vegas. I don't play all the time. I actually won more before I turned 18, though they were $2 and $5 winnings. Every now and then, when the multi-state jackpot grows, I will buy a few. If you don't play, you'll never have a chance of winning, no matter how great the odds.

It's so much nicer with OJU being banned for two weeks. Ahhh, time to sit back and smell the roses.

GH85Carrera 11-28-2012 04:17 PM

Yea, no harm trying. My luck just makes is a no win situation. When we joined the Mercedes club we went to the dinner. They always give out door prizes after the meal. There were 22 people there. The president wanted us to get a door prize so he kept having my wife draw the numbers. He only had 20 door prizes and the only two people that did NOT win anything was Mrs Carrera and me.

GH85Carrera 11-28-2012 04:22 PM

What did OJU do to get banned?

slodave 11-28-2012 04:24 PM

One of his typical ramblings on a thread. Must have eaten the worm from the mescal. He really went overboard.

Discovered a neat trick with my fish. I know that they can be iridescent under black lights, but I had no idea that the blue LED on my flashlight would make them glow too!

Yeah really

slodave 11-28-2012 04:27 PM

I just made a comment on the thread that awarded him a two week vacation.

nynor 11-28-2012 04:36 PM

OJU is banned? what did he do/post?

Rick V 11-28-2012 04:43 PM

Well that was interesting to say the least.

slodave 11-28-2012 04:47 PM

Interesting character. :D

Rick V 11-28-2012 04:48 PM

He actually makes me laugh a lot of the time
