Good morning folks.

I was at the hospital yesterday until 4:00 PM. We went back up there after dinner. Dad's night nurse is another looker. She looks so young I am surprised she can drive yet. I guess she started nursing school in 5th grade to graduate so early in life.

My wife just got home from the hospital a few minutes ago. Yesterday was a heck of a Monday. I went to the office for an hour and a half. Then off to attend a funeral for a former coworker/friend's wife. On the way home from the funeral, I call my wife to see how she is, and she says her doctor wants her to check in right away into the hospital for a respiratory infection she's apparently suffering from. So, instead of heading back to the office, I head home to pick up my wife. I spent pretty much the rest of the evening there. I'm so glad she's on the mend and, yes, her nurses were cute. :p

LOL, she was asking the nurses if they were single. I guess she's trying to hook our son up. Wait until I tell him what his dear sweet Mom has been up to. :D

Hey a cute chick that has a good job is a great thing for any son!

I hope your wife is doing better.

All I can say is good riddance. If a girl could humiliate a guy on TV and a crowd like that and didn't even have the decency to suck it up and accept on the court and pull him aside in private, she isn't worth it. She didn't respect him enough as a man. And believe me, I am sure lots of girls probably chased him after the game.

azzarule 12-11-2012 12:38 PM

wow, that second one, the guy looked quite devastated, obviously she had been giving him the wrong messages!!!

But I too posted the first one to my fb page, now that was funny!!!

Jim Richards 12-11-2012 12:38 PM

Thanks Glen. She must be fine, she touched me for cab fare (had the taxi swing by my office on the way home). :D

definitely right there Tweez, that girl was a B**ch, how bad must he have felt, she could have played along just so he wouldn't get too humiliated, but he is better off without her, in auzzie language, "what a scrag!"

lol

As a counterpoint, I think it's terribly narcissistic to do these public proposals. This is a very intimate moment...why the need to share it with thousands (or more) of total strangers?

Waaah! So I am a loser. :( Just kidding, Glen. I have to say for not working for the first time in my life since I was 13, it is depressing and a blow to the ego. Oh well. I will find a job soon.

And I remember when I started nursing, I was 22. I had a patient who insisted on seeing my drivers license and to speak with my manager because he didn't believe I was old enough to be a nurse. I had another patient refuse me for his nurse because I was "young" and therefore, had to be inexperienced. Ironically, the nurse he ended up getting was yes, older but I had been a nurse about five years longer than her with more experience. It was her second career. Funny.

And goodness, Jim! I hope your wife is ok and gets better quickly!

I agree. But if both people enjoy a proposal like that, in front of a lot of people, they are probably both like that and would be together forever. Another point that they would probably never last. Too different. :)

Thanks tweeze. She looked great when the cab stopped here by my office. I guess it's antibiotics for two weeks and then a follow-up. She's been given the OK by her doctor to go on business travel next week. There's just no keeping that girl down! :)

Best wishes on the job hunt, too, tweeze!

tweezers74 12-11-2012 12:52 PM

Oh good, Jim! That doesn't sound too bad. A couple days of antibiotics in her am she will feel better.

nynor 12-11-2012 12:52 PM

i was unemployed for about two months a few years back. that was tough. keep looking, tweeze.

d.

Tweze, it is like the old joke don't pick up a chick at a Laundromat, if she can't afford her own washer and dryer she must be broke!

One phrase that works for men & women "You can marry more money that you can ever earn in a lifetime"

I did not follow that advise myself, I married for love not money so we both still work for a living.

I was laid off not quite ten years ago at the beginning of summer. About 4 weeks later, I had a job lined up to start in mid-September. It was my first summer off since I was 14 years old. Fantastic! :)

BTW, here's the patient in question. She was chowing down on a Chinese-style burrito (tortilla with Chinese stir-fry goodness inside) when I pulled a candid-camera on her. :D
