Porsche-poor 12-17-2012 03:28 PM

Rick V 12-17-2012 03:30 PM

Porsche-poor 12-17-2012 03:31 PM

I'll have to come live with you for free.

Rick V 12-17-2012 03:33 PM

Free is a four letter word my friend

nynor 12-17-2012 03:40 PM

should i pull the wheels off and lube the slidie thingies?

GH85Carrera 12-17-2012 03:45 PM

Naaaaaa, just spray the brakes and pads with a lot of WD-40. ;)

pete3799 12-17-2012 03:50 PM

Just did rear pads on the Highlander....same thing outer pad gone and about half left on the inner. Slides were ok not great but after the wire wheel treatment and grease should be ok.
Of course i had to replace the rotor because no one bothered to tell me they were making noise until too late

this is why my wife rocks!

replacing rotors is a pain and an unnecessary expense, usually.

Porsche-poor 12-17-2012 03:54 PM

If everything is free and felt smooth I wouldn't bother, and don't wd a damn thing

GH85Carrera 12-17-2012 03:57 PM

Does the Highlander not have brake pad wear sensors?

nynor 12-17-2012 03:59 PM

face of pussy cat, heart of a killer.

the grey cat, wally, is a killing machine. nick, the siamese-mix, not so much, but she is a sweet little cat.

Yea, I know he loves his wife so WD-40 is likely not the thing to do.

thanks. yeah, it all felt good and smooth. i slid the caliper back and forth with the pads in, before pumping the brakes to push the pistons into place.

i don't even keep wd-40 in my garage. useless stuff that creates more problems than it solves, IMO.

It does work ok on the inside of a distributor that gets a lot of water on it.

Rick V 12-17-2012 04:18 PM
