Loitering is not a problem today. Too cold.

Outback Porsche 01-14-2013 11:20 AM

Morning

Chucked a Rickie - up at sparrow fart :( and not enjoying the moment.

nynor 01-14-2013 11:21 AM

i took the pup to get her second set of shots, instead. if i didn't do it today, i'd be taking her in tomorrow. i have a student to tutor this afternoon, also.

I have no idea what that means. I presume it was not a good thing.

Porsche-poor 01-14-2013 11:39 AM

Yeah I have no idea what that means but I bet the doc could write a song about it.

nynor 01-14-2013 12:31 PM

chucked a rickie = throwing up, i think.

up at a sparrow's fart = up very very early in the morning (as in, up at the time a sparrow rolls out of bed and farts)

Porsche-poor 01-14-2013 12:58 PM

translation noted.
no fun indeed.

GH85Carrera 01-14-2013 01:24 PM

At least he didn't chuck a sparrow fart up rickie.

GH85Carrera 01-14-2013 01:25 PM

Man I hope some newbie does not decide to check out the thread and see that. :)

porsche4life 01-14-2013 01:26 PM

A wee bit late now ain't it?

GH85Carrera 01-14-2013 01:28 PM

Hey Sid, just in case you were wondering...

4 people actually showed up to autocross yesterday. I was not among that group.

Porsche-poor 01-14-2013 01:47 PM

4 die hard ice racers!!!!!

GH85Carrera 01-14-2013 01:49 PM

It never got above freezing, but there was no ice on track. With just 4 people running they set up a few pylons, and each made bunch of runs.

Porsche-poor 01-14-2013 01:51 PM

ahh. Still to cold here for any fun. Went to use the gas fire place to take the edge off a room and found its dead so that needs to be looked at now.

GH85Carrera 01-14-2013 01:54 PM

How can a fireplace die?

We have a gas fireplace that has not been lit in several years. I think the last power outage was when we last fired it up.

Ha! That's funny :)

Morning again (I'm a little more awake now - half hour drive into the bush at speed does that).

Chucked is also used in the sense of doing something, ie chucked a wobbly/spaz (having a tantrum - almost to the point of going postal). In this case, I was doing a thing Rick often does (thus, chucked a Rickie) and woke ridiculously early (yup D, about when the sparrows started farting).

Porsche-poor 01-14-2013 01:59 PM

There is something wrong in the controls. The pilot light was out so when I went through the process of relighting it worked fine but when you let go of the igniter it goes out. Thats how it dies. We hardly ever use it.

Outback Porsche 01-14-2013 02:00 PM

The pilot jet needs a clean. Prolly just blowing some air through it will do.

Porsche-poor 01-14-2013 02:00 PM

Something tells me "chucking Rickie" would be hard to do....
