You say something like that and then think it is a dumb question when someone asks if they speak American in Australia.

Are lamingtons and a Pav legal in Maryland? :D

Porsche-poor 01-25-2013 12:16 PM

with her luck probably not.............

spent another two hours on the phone with AT&T, apparently completely wasted my time on Tuesday non of the people I talked to at AT&T did a bloody thing, didn't raise a Case for anybody to work out, didn't give me any possibility of resolution at this time, nothing, nand, zilch, useless pack of arzeholes.

But todays three phoncalls, eventually got someone "Harold" who seemed to understand, knows how to fix it, and started the process going methodically through their procedures. First up was change my plan, which should have included unlimited SMS as I asked for, but didn't. Well that's where the **** started to hit the fan again, and where all others have failed to do anything, as they have to seek authorization from of 14 people listed as authorizing on the account, non of which are me!!!! They all work at the Embassy, and Harold made his way through the list, and nobody answered the phone at 11.30 in the morning. sigh. But to his credit Harold didn't let that deter him, he started on the next procedure, raise a case. He waived the current billing for SMS's (sitting around $4.5K, scarry eh), but that is only just over helf of the bills outstanding, he has to elevate the problem up a level to get authorisation to waiver previous billing amounts. Go Harold!

He is going to ring me back, ... yeah heard that before! But he promised, at least he was willing to give me his name and his email address, so I can contact him.

I have contacted someone at the embassy who can authorize the changes and they have swapped email addresses and phone numbers, so the process has begun.

My phone bill which is the size of a house deposit, will hopefully be gone by Monday afternoon, except for of course, the usual sized phone bill account costs. One could say, $4.5K down $4.5K to go, fingers crossed.

sic'm!

Good luck.

Azzy, that sounds like my experience. Once you get ahold of a customer service rep that actually knows his ass from a hole in the ground you are on the golden path. Good luck.

Lamingtons - jam filled sponge cake squares dipped in chocolate and covered in coconut.

Pav (pavlova) - baked meringue

This one looks interesting. It's got both the traditional peppermint crisp topping, alongside the nuvo modern fruit style topping ;) .

For me, deserts are chocolate and anything in on or around a chocolate desert besides something chocolate is a waste of chocolate.

Mostly because I like chocolate.

Outback Porsche 01-25-2013 01:41 PM

Sort of got that Richard :D.

Note to self - some sort of chocolate on chocolate with chocolate on the side and extra chocolate for good measure desert, for the stijn pot luck dinner ;)

GH85Carrera 01-25-2013 02:09 PM

There was a local restaurant that had a desert called death by chocolate. It was a slab of fudge with melted chocolate, and about 6 different forms of chocolate in the one desert. I was dating a girl that was under 100 lbs. She ate that entire thing and did not share a bite with me.

After dinner she mentioned she really liked chocolate. I ended up buying some chocolate schnapps that she got plastered on.

Glen, I love chocolate too.

But the old minute on the lips forever on the hips, well its true, so I don't have chocolate very often, unless it is the 80% Cacao type which is not really sweet, but still has the chocolate hit.

Jferr006 01-25-2013 03:50 PM

I can live without chocolate but, if I could never have cake again. I would shrivel up and die.... Or wine
