Friend has a couple of 356s. The both have bigger hopped up motors, and updated brakes. However, he has a stand for each that holds all the original parts that were replaced and the updates were done so the original parts could go back on.

yeah, I have a spare motor for Miss Daisy, that my mech wants to beef up so he can change it out for me to have a bit more power sometimes for fun. I think its more for him than me!!

its not like I pay him or anything! lol He is a really good friend, who I just love to bits, just the best friend ever, he found Miss Daisy languishing in the garage of her former owner, where she had sat for over 30 years. He loved her, but just didn't have the money to buy her, so I did, and he gets to play.

My Porsches are by no means stock. They have all been performance modified at least a little. Last spring a cam broke and crashed all the valves on one bank of cylinders. It would have been the perfect time to either stroker the stock motor or swap in a hybrid. Instead, I just refreshed all the correct bits and went back together with the only change was a little hotter cam set. I also have non-stock wheels as I like the choices of tires for 18 over 17 inch wheels.

Jim, stop it, you are building too nice a vehicle!

It's still only wishful thinking on my part, G. I have a couple of years of home remodeling to finish first.

LOL! No it was funny. I should just know better than to eat and read at the same time.

I'm just glad no one brought a cake in this year, I'd be in tears.

Anyway the only thing Ford about the truck is the actual body and hub caps, the suspension is Dodge K car to add disc brakes, the motor and drivetrian are chevy, and even the seats are out of a Camaro. They started with Ford and couldn't get the crate CobraJet running so, swapped the whole drivetrain for an LS1 setup.

Every time the management sees a totally stock F1 they drool all over it because theirs is just a street rod now.
Too bad, this is a '49.
