Yup. I usually average around $50 for freight when ever I do a PP order, and thats usually USPS. It's it goes up around $75 when using FedEx or UPS. It's about 3x more than freight out of the UK.

When I ordered my clutch kit out of the US, it was around $120 for freight (and the dollar was around 0.75 at the time) - it was still cheaper than buying it in Oz.

My brake rotors and stuff was a similar story.

azzarule 03-05-2013 04:48 AM

both of the boxes I posted with USPS yesterday were around 18lbs, so I suppose that wasn't bad, the FEDEX and UPS quotes were around 250-400, so I went with the USPS. But still expensive. I tried to send the stuff surface, or by sea from here, but the Post Office said it all goes air, so that's why it costs so much

Considering how far it has to go I guess that is not outrageous expensive. Rather pricey however.

One thing I love about Amazon is the free shipping for almost everything I buy. I ordered some 6ft long cables to charge my iPhone. They literally came on the slow boat from China. It took 3 weeks. The 4 cables and shipping was still under 20 bucks.

Good morning folks.

Yawn nap time.

GH85Carrera 03-05-2013 01:41 PM

How come when we are kids nap time was horrible. Now we love a power nap?

Jim Richards 03-05-2013 01:52 PM

Amazon does not ship free to Australia, and that's if it will sell to you at all. Most things it will not ship to Australia, as it apparently does not have the right to sell some goods to Australia, some sort of trade agreements from OEMs with Australian companies. Pisses you off sometimes, you can't seem to get an item in Australia, and US companies won't ship it out of the USA, so you can't buy it.

Yep. Except for the bow tie. I only wear "normal" ties.

RKDinOKC 03-05-2013 03:10 PM

Looking for the bracket the holds the strut on the liftgate on my Rover. None of the rover parts places in USA have them. They say they are NLA. There are a couple of Rover parts places on the internets that are in England that still have the parts in stock. They will not ship one to the USA.

GH85Carrera 03-05-2013 03:12 PM

Stijn!!

What is that tie thing you speak of? Do you tie it on your hand or head or foot?
