Wow, camping on the 4th. I thought that was fun when I was 8 to 10 years old.

I always love the phrase: My parents did not take me camping when I was a kid because they loved me.

For many long years my extended family had lunch on the 4th of July at a local park. In 1978 it was brutal hot and several of the grandparents almost got heat stroke. I made the suggestion we change it to breakfast. My mom decided we need to have breakfast at freaking DAWN. We would be finishing up as other families were showing up to claim a good site.

Going to try to smog our truck today. Our virgin attempt at this in SoCal. I hope they're gentle with us.

Ha! I just found out I don't need to smog the truck until next year. Woohoo!

Yea, I wish we would get some sort of safety inspections back. There are some scary vehicles on the road that should not be driven.

We have smog test every other year. Goes by area you live in not state wide. Makes no sense cause my parents drive to my house a lot and are exempt. I drive 15 min to work so I am bettign the system is not getting up to temp by the time I shut it down.
