Daycare isn't so bad now that I just have the one in all-day care and one in afterschool. His jiu jitsu afterschool program is $200 a month AND it includes all of his night classes...a steal. Ev is 3 and he's only about $100 a week. It cost quite a bit to work these days.

Kind of shut ourselves in the library, dorm room, apartment and just study. And it was acceptable to say,"I can't, it's finals week", and people accepted that. All you had to do was focus on studying.

Now, I can't use that excuse. Nobody gives a crap if stuff hits the fan at home. Ok, only if it gets to a certain level. But if my kid gets sick and I am scrambling to get a presentation together, nobody at work is gonna let it slide. They give the obligatory,"oh, I'm sorry" and then, "so, how's that presentation going? Can you get that slide deck to me this afternoon?"

I guess what I am trying to say is enjoy, Sidney. In some ways, real life is awesome and in some ways, not so much. No "FML" because its gonna get bigger. Bigger in good ways and bigger in stressful ways. This goes for you too, Max. That's why all of us old wise ones keep telling you young pups to savor your youth.

Do something fun in those five days. Again , no FML.

Finals week doesn't really bother me. I've never been one to stress about tests, hell I barely study for most of them... To me its just the end of the course, I regurgitate the appropriate information, and then circular file it all...

The FML is about the intersession class. More of this being stuck by school. I don't feel like I am truly gaining anything, but I need to get this piece of paper that the business world has come to place so much weight on. In the mean time I am trying to work and do what should be a full time job, but since school limits my schedule I can't perform like I need to and it leaves me feeling stuck... So I can't work because of school, and I don't want to go to school because of work. Its an ugly circle to be in. I know its temporary and will be over in Dec, but it leaves me feeling a bit worthless in the meantime.

I'm going to enjoy the 5 days indeed. I have a bit of work tomorrow and then I'm going to unplug for a bit, and weather permitting go do some camping and climbing...

Azza, thanks for the vote and dedication. 6071 is only the number of views we had on our entry. The votes are on the our entry below the picture. Only at 1457 and second place is at 1264 votes. We got about 200 votes up on them and have only stayed there. I'd like to blow them away by a 400+ vote lead....lol

Well the granddaughter is always one to share her treats with me, and the fistful of hard cat food she just walked in here with is no exception.

Ferris Bueller: Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Don't be in such a rush. Sometimes things are out of your control and it sucks. But seriously, Sidney? A little over six months. That's what you got? Six months is nothing. Blink your eyes and its gonna be over. Go camping. Slow down. In the big scheme of things, this is nothing to be "FML"ing.
