G'day Glen/Richard.
We're getting live footage right now on pay tv. I hope you guys are okay. It looks pretty devistating for the victims.

porsche4life 05-20-2013 01:56 PM

All pretty well south of glen and Richard. Looks like its between my coworkers house and our office. Still a scary hit.

RKDinOKC 05-20-2013 01:57 PM

on my 40 sized planes I used a servo for each aileron On a couple of larger planes I put larger servos on each aileron after having flutter problems with the regular servos. Also went to a servo for each elevator half. I would keep the rudder if at all possible, typically if you want to reduce servos you increase the dihedral of the wing and forgo the aileron servos just using elevator and rudder.

Couldn't find any UAV style kits that aren't electric ARFs.

RKDinOKC 05-20-2013 01:58 PM

Think all my friends living in that area are at work somewhere else.

Outback Porsche 05-20-2013 02:00 PM

Thanks Sid. Glad your all safe it looks scary.

porsche4life 05-20-2013 02:03 PM

RKD where does David live? Looks like it went south of Grady's place....

Outback Porsche 05-20-2013 02:06 PM

Jeez, it's cut a wide path. No report of casualties, I hope there's very few. A couple of schools destroyed they say. Do the schools have shelters/basements?

porsche4life 05-20-2013 02:09 PM

Most schools have some type of shelter, but it looks like one was almost completely leveled. I hate to say it but there will be casualties out of this.

GH85Carrera 05-20-2013 02:10 PM

It is bad down there. Fine up up. We got lucky up north. It is strange that the tornado seems to go down the same path as the 1999 tornado.

Outback Porsche 05-20-2013 02:11 PM

I'm off to work. Stay safe guys.

GH85Carrera 05-20-2013 02:13 PM

Grady's house was hit in the 1999 storm. He did not live there then.

Porsche-poor 05-20-2013 02:37 PM

I get where your coming from, but I'm not sure the rudder is all that necessary and eliminating it would free some room for the engine on the actual predator drone, the rudder is damn near useless and really only used for runway maneuvering. A V tail has proven quite capable in replacing the traditional rudder, elevator rig......look at the f117

The schools all were in full tornado drill mode. All the kids made it out. Only minor injuries. So far so good.

GH85Carrera 05-20-2013 03:33 PM

You have likely heard about three deaths. They were in a 7-11 and with all that glass they had to be shredded. They were in the freezer, but that is not a shelter. Bad place to be.

Rick V 05-20-2013 03:43 PM

I am so glad to see you guys are okay.
What were we talking about last night?

Rick V 05-20-2013 03:57 PM

On a lighter note. Boxster ign lock housing replacement
Warranty time 1.7
Flat rate time 2.6
Rickie time .45 and that includes re-timing the windows and setting the clock and radio

nynor 05-20-2013 03:59 PM

so, you got the shift indicator into park and the key came out. :)

Rick V 05-20-2013 04:04 PM

No park dude. I just beat it into submission with a BFH
