How's your wife's injury, Jeff? Is she recovering quickly?
Yeah ta Jim. Things are moving forward and positive. I imagine that in a week or so she'll hit a wall and progress will slow. These body things seem to like to do that. She's diligently doing all her exercises. I'll just have to take the pup on my training walks instead.

Outback Porsche 05-31-2013 03:31 AM

Bit hard to see your kitchen on my phone but it looks like progress.

Chops are done, I'm gunna go eat.

Jim Richards 05-31-2013 03:31 AM

Sounds good, Jeff. Well, I'm off to prepare for w***. TGIF.

Gee I love what you have done with the place.

Kinda looks like the the results from an Animal House party.

GH85Carrera 05-31-2013 05:27 AM

Good morning folks.

It is officially FRIDAY! :D

Andy911sc 05-31-2013 05:37 AM

I feel like I missed something important again last night. I was helping my brother get his 924 ready fro inspection.

Only plans for the weekend is my 10 year high school reunion. Yaaaayyyy..... <---- sarcasm

Haha, thanks for the welcome. I'm not sure I have the right stuff to run with this crew though. A fascinating glimpse of humanity with many if not all of the guards down. "As the Carrera turns"? :)

Tweeze,
Yes they are asking you out on a date. If you don't want to go, don't go. If you do want to go, just put on a dress and approach it as a fun adventure for a few hours. You do like fun adventures don't you? Don't overthink it. Good things happen when you really get in the now. Dating and surfing are a lot alike really. Seek that moment when you pop-up and the board settles into the wave and all is balanced and awareness is heightened. Life is in that moment. If you bring too many expectations or look too far down the road you often miss the best waves.

Oooooooo... Love that surfing analogy!!! I over-think everything. Even my surfing instructor said that. You are right. Sometimes I am good at enjoying the moment and others I revert to old ways. I guess I am hesitant because well, I have been scorned too many times. My divorce nearly killed me. I was a wreck. I had to be in therapy by myself for almost a year AFTER marriage therapy. And since my divorce, let's just say I let my guard down and my heart has taken a couple more beatings. I know I need the companionship of a man. It's human nature. Maybe that is why I have a lot of guy friends. It's safe. We go out, have fun and I go home. My heart is spared. I truly think my guard is up. It's like I love the feeling of catching the wave because I have done it before. But my last wipe out was so bad that it messed up my head. I am so scared of wiping out bad again, that I just go for those little waves, not even enjoying those fully because I am so freaking scared. So, I settle for boogie boarding...

You should watch even if you aren’t a cat person…pretty funny.

I had a shocker golf game today. The 19th was my best hole. I kept lifting my head - I need to hook one end of a bungie cord on to the eye of my dick and the other end on to my nose.

That was my problem too. Don't make up a contraption. They already have one. My coach made me wear this weird thing that did prevent me from looking up. Worked like a charm but I looked hideous. Probably don't even make it anymore. But I look up now occasionally. :(

Worked from home yesterday and working in the office today??? Ah well. Gonna be an epic weekend here in the Bay Area this weekend. Looking forward to the Parts Heaven Swap on Sunday along with the regular Sat. morning Coffee with the Audi/Porsche local boys.

:) Guarding your heart is good. I bet you can do that and still savor the moment of each wave while you are in it.

Morning everyone. Michael, when my wife and I finally do get settled into SoCal, we're gonna need to come up north for those events.

I haven't been golfing since around 1991, and even that was after a six or seven year hiatus.

No. Not really. I am the all talk woman, telling Max to get out there but in reality, I get out there but I retreat when I am dating somebody, sometimes unconsciously, and that doesn't fare well on the relationship. I need to find a balance. But don't know how to get there. So, I guess the best way to do that is get on that board, try to catch as many waves as I can so when I catch the big one, I will know it and let go. ;)

Enough of the Tweeze pity party hour! I am done with that! No more thinking. Just going to grab a drink and a light dinner with him. A nice man. Canadian. Has a nice accent. Did I tell everybody I am a sucker for accents? He's older as well. A real gentleman. What's up with all the hockey guys I am picking up? And no, I wasn't at a rink when I met both of them. ;) Well, we'll see. I have nothing to lose.

I didn't know you were from the bag area. I lived in Cupertino for three years. Loved it! Too expensive though. Miss the Bay Area. I go back often. To visit friends, eat, hiking... So many things to do!

My 10th was in October.. I didnt go. The drama surrounding it was amazing for adults. Only about 50 people (spouses and all) showed up.

GH85Carrera 05-31-2013 08:58 AM

Tweez, just remember you can marry more money than you can earn in a lifetime of work. ;)

70SATMan 05-31-2013 08:59 AM

Yep, you should! Every Sat. there's a local thing in Capitola..All manner of cars and hot rods. All locals, no egos displaying big money.. We sometimes head over to that after the regular morning coffee/BS sesh at the beach.

The Canepa Saturdays have been loads of fun! It's a short hop for me which is nice and they always have something interesting going on. They open up the whole resto shop and then of course the museum section is open.

I'd love to do the Easy Sat. more often but, it's a bit of a drive for me.
