Yup. Both of the 2 hour (well, it should have been 2.5 hours ;)) trips Imade between SLO and TO in the 911 were very enjoyable -- with earplugs. Cut the volume down enough I could appreciate the engine's sound without all the wind noise. Never once missed the radio (although I can play songs in my head). In the buzzy,droning Ford it is a must, however. I had an aftermarket stereo in the BMW that was much nicer than the stock Ford POS.

Well crap.

This is what I would get. Both wheels and floats,

I had a 40 size Goldberg cub. Had wheels and floats, and regular and clipped wings. long wing for putting around and floats, clipped for more aerobatic fun. Put a 70 4 stroke with an electric starter on it. A couple of times I was able to taxi it in off the water using the starter when it got to wet to fly.

If you fly with floats, you need a boat! Especially if you are putting your trainer into trees.

The RC club I was in had 3 or 4 float plane gatherings at a big pond. the main thing was they had one of those 1 man bass boats to retrieve with.

When I got started the best trainers were tricycle landing gear planes. Much easier to land without cracking up.

My trainer hit a tree because my Tx battery died.....

When I build a nitro floater, it'll be a standard tricycle setup with float attachments.

This came recommended by a local guy. Said its incredibly durable and very easy to fly


One cool thing I saw was an RC tug with a recovery rig....essentially, just a PVC fork with foam around it.......the ponds I'll be using this in are small enough that it shouldn't be a problem, but this model is supposed to seal up pretty tight and be very capable on water

Yeah, my trainer looked pretty similar, minus the snazzy graphics.......designed for a .40 2 stroke.....I had a .46........it was actually a pretty significant difference.......something like 11 extra oz of thrust......the little farker would nearly climb straight up

Flyzone makes this as well.......comes with tricycle and floats........little bigger than I wanted though

Janet I hope the interview went OK. It is strange to talk to someone that thinks they should work for your company. Most of the folks I talked to had no real experience, but they all claimed to be fast learners. Most had much over inflated views of their abilities.

One kid came in that had just graduated from high school. He wanted to help me in the computer graphics department. I hired him when he started asking very intelligent questions, and he did not take notes on how to do each step. Then I learned he was a certified Photoshop expert. He was great. It sucked when he left to go to college.

Sorry, phone in pocket... Double post. At the hospital. These 4 am mornings are brutal. I am not a morning person!

My wife is the HR director at the University where she works. There is very little fun involved. She has her staff doing the typical routine stuff. My wife is the problem solver. And there is a new crisis every week.

She spends most of her time in meetings.
