There is a set of 3 books about a former veteran taxi cab driver in Chicago that were absolutely riveting. Found myself at the gas pump wanting it to hurry up so I could get back to the story.

There was one book that let me get 5 hours into it before revealing it was at senator's son coming out of the closet story. Nothing in the reviews or on the about stuff on the cover. I threw the tapes out the window. Felt very tricked, was billed like it was supposed to be an espionage spy thriller.

Don't like romance novels unless they at least mention heaving breasts at least once. Guess those aren't really classified as romance novels, or are they?

Heh, I'm just back from Charlotte -> Fontana California -> Charlotte. 4,800 miles including driving around in Cali a little between kart races. I thought of you guys when driving through OKC, I wanted to stop at Pole Position, but really needed to drive on through.

On the way back, the Hobbit, followed by part way through The Fellow of the Ring was listened to. I had my ipod in the trunk on the way out.

If we'd of made a stop for the night on the way back or way out, I'd of probably been able to stop at the track in OKC, oh well. Next year's trip I'll try to work it in.

The audio books def made a difference for my co-driver. For me personally, my mind works well enough and stay active on its own.

I'll listen to podcasts some while driving on my many thousand miles, but this car has no ipod hookup and mine is on the fritz and I haven't gotten it back yet.

Well, they've (our polies) have finally booted out our bogan woman PM and stuck the dictator back in (the one they booted out 3 years ago and replaced with the bogan).

Good thing is, we have 79 days left before the next public election. Hopefully the dictator wont bugger things up too much in that short time.

In today's PC environment, that joke would have ended my career today. I came pretty close by pointing out the video misrepresented a court case and their statistics were quite flawed.

8 hrs of it today, more to come.

at work this morning the discussion was all about the State of Origin, which I only managed to watch about 15 minutes of before having to go to work. Anyway one of the other guys came in and told us that Kevin Rudd was back in, couldn't believe it!

But oh well, that's politics.

Fint, I suppose you have seen the poo the Australian Defence Force has at the moment with the sexual harrassment 5hit going on at the moment, the Chief of Army's interview which is on our Defence website, is quite blunt. He says "if you think that that sort of behaviour is acceptable, do us a favour and GET OUT!"
