My legs are grey, my ears are gnarled, my eyes are old and bent....

Two more carpentaria palms gone from the yard. Three more to go. I'm pooped!

I'm glad I brought the landcruiser ute with the tipper tray home from work this weekend. It definitely made things a lot easier to dump the buggers.

palmetto state armory has a good price on .223 ammunition, in stock. even after shipping, 100 rounds is just over $50. i need more brass.... :D my wife would kill me, however.... :) i've spent about $300 in the last week on money down for a shotgun and reloading components....

that said, i haven't spent any money on beer, so i have that going for me. also, i've lost about 7 lbs since i quit the beer. :)

forgot the link, in case anyone is interested. (joe?)

I am in the garage making home made ice cream. 6 quarts for 8 people. Should be enough.

It takes 30 or 40 minutes to make smooth creamy ice cream. The biggest secret is not too much rock salt on the ice. We have fresh strawberries, peaches and chocolate sauce for those that want to make it all healthy. ;).

The couple across the street to the east are bringing cookies, the couple to the west are bringing brownies, and the couple from behind us across the fence are bringing a surprise. All extra low calories I am sure.

nynor 07-06-2013 11:30 AM

brownies.... and a surprise.... sounds like a PARTAY!!!!

RKDinOKC 07-06-2013 11:31 AM

Don't eat it too fast and get brain freeze.

GH85Carrera 07-06-2013 11:45 AM

Yea, sitting on the back porch with the ceiling fans churning, the American Flag flying from the garage, eating home made treats with the neighbors. Almost a Norman Rockwell moment. I will burp now to make more room! ;)

Afternoon Y'all
Okay I am done doing the domestic outdoor crap for the weekend.
I am going to put my open lot on the market, that will cut my grass in half.

Rick V 07-06-2013 12:22 PM

D are you shooting .223 or 5.56?

nynor 07-06-2013 12:30 PM

both. mainly .223.

Okay I am scared to death of snakes, I have a very real irrational fear of any and all snakes that is so bad I pulled a gun on my son some years ago for chasing me up into my old Ramcharger with a dead snake. Remember this fear since it has a great deal to do with the following event.
I was doing some service on the tractor and had the front end jacked up a few feet and was laying under it. My compressor was running to charge the tank a few feet away, and it is one of those direct drive compressors that sound like a female dinosaur's sex toy, a very very loud buzzing sound that will wake the dead.
Beth was off in the yard clipping some bushes and such, or so I thought she was. As I rolled out from under the tractor I heard Beth yelling at me over the droning of Dino's joy toy to see her standing five feet away from me with a snake pinched in her lopping sheers. I had an old deck blade in my hand and we almost had the sequel to sling blade done in one take.
I am sure I won't poo for days after that scare but I promise that when I do I am going to not flush and leave it for Beth to find as a reward for her actions today.
