Blech. W*** after a lovely four day weekend is just not fun. Although I do love technology. Answering work emails from my bed at 630 makes me look like I am up and at 'em while in reality I haven't even got out of bed and still in my pajamas.

Sidney and I had a lovely time in Reno. Lazy days. Lunch on the Marina. Shopping. Evening walks. Massage at the spa. Fireworks. Dinner with Todd. Nice weekend. Now back to reality. Blech.
My phone is synced with my work computer. I can send or reply to email anytime that I DECIDE TO. Recently I replied to a question on a job I had finished on a Friday afternoon. It was 10:00 PM and it was a one line reply. The customer replied on Saturday morning that I was really working late. I replied that for important customers we always are working.

He was impressed only because he does not have a smart phone and has to go into work to send or check email.

It was a great weekend! Glad you came up, just wish you could have stayed longer!

Yup, I've got my email on my work phone and on my iPad. I can respond from anywhere at any time. I try to not respond after 5 if its not urgent, but that is because I don't want people thinking I will work at any hour. If its urgent I will, but I know too many of my co-workers that set the precedent early in their career that they would answer the phone at 9pm and talk work and now they regret it.

Just don't answer those calls.

Unless of course it is a major deal and big money in YOUR pocket.

I will use my iPad or iPhone to VNC into my work computer or to log onto the scanner computer. I can turn the lamp for the scanner on or off from anywhere.

I have gone looking for a file on the network, found it and then sent it to our FTP site so I can download it at home.

Woohoo! It's been raining for nearly 24 hours. Still no river flow but if this keeps up for the rest of today it a definite possibility.
