They claim it's is 4.8 hours labor....It's 2 electrical connectors, 4 bolts and routing two cables to their levers all of 3 feet away......

They told me that there's a hall effect sensor fault and an electrical fault.......stay in school kids....

Me, I'm doing what I do best......switching from soft to hard ball. I pretty much have the suit drafted. I'll have my mother (top of her class in law school) and the Federal Judge down the street give it a once over then I'll drop a copy with the GM of the shop and a 7 day demand cover letter. Then file......then file for directed judgement based on res ipsa loquitur........or they could just meet my demands rather than be forced by state law to hire an attorney and go through the joys of discovery where I'll request all data necessary for statistical analysis of frequency of return visits by customers and they could possibly get hammered for RICO issues.

I was talking to one of the service writers who thought he was telling me off...told me a story recently about how someone came in for an air filter change and immediately had an MAF fault.....'It's just part of the brand'......yeah, it's just part of fraud buddy

Makes me appreciate the Landy......'oh look, I need a new thermostat housing' (5 hour job on the Jag.....legitimately) three bolts, a screw hose clamp and a $70 part......ten minutes later you're running!

No offense joe.... But do you threaten to sue everyone who works on your cars? I seem to remember a similar scenario with the MB....

Outback Porsche 08-02-2013 05:44 PM

There's just nothing like waiting for a junkie to finish shooting up in a Maccas loo when you're busting for a crap. :(

nynor 08-02-2013 05:47 PM

that's ugly.

Outback Porsche 08-02-2013 06:20 PM

Hehe, wasn't pretty. :)

I let insurance handle the MB....they got theirs from his insurance.....I left it alone past paying my deductible and cashing the check when they got it back from his insurance. He's since out of business.....managed to wreck a Bentley with his shoddy work

Good night folks. I am going to bed real soon. Air Conditioning is just a wonderful invention.

porsche4life 08-02-2013 08:19 PM

Being home is a wonderful thing.... After 4 days straight driving...

HHI944 08-02-2013 08:21 PM

G'night glen.......indeed, AC is a beautiful thing!

Got a little flying in today to......The ESC on the float plane burnt up so I replaced it with a slightly higher rated unit and the little bugger really books now......throw the throttle full and it's off the water in 20ft.....grass in 15..... I need to either get the balance on the prop a little better or get a beefier prop collet though.....it threw the prop off at one point.......not sure which is to blame

I'm really digging this whole RC plane thing......I think I'm gonna completely redo the drone.....learned a lot about crafting with foam board in this first model........pretty well wrecked it with glide testing......know a few things I can fix and change for the final run
still not sure what I'm gonna do for landing gear.......thinking U2 style bicycle gear with heavy gauge wire runners at the wing tips.....

Rehomed Mom an 8 week old Brown Tabby (Maine Coon) Kitten today. Is now sleeping on the bed next to Mom.

She is a cutie pie...

She is going to get BIG. Momma is 25lbs and Daddy is 28lbs!!

Don't have a name picked out yet. Last cat was named Stitches cause Mom likes to sew. I thought of Marbles cause Mom is losing her's, but that's not very nice.

Outback Porsche 08-03-2013 03:30 AM

Hehe.

GH85Carrera 08-03-2013 05:24 AM

My mom had a cat when she was a kid. They named it Kitty. Everyone always knew its name and would call for it.

Rick V 08-03-2013 06:48 AM

Morning Y'all
Richard if Mom is living on a fixed income that kitty may have been a bad idea. Coons get huuuuuuuuuge. They are sweethearts though, but they are also very good hunters. I had a Coon/Mutt and that thing was a huge killing machine

Jim Richards 08-03-2013 08:18 AM

Jim, I love you. You make me giggle.

Went golfing with the boys this morning and another day at the waterpark for my niece's birthday. :)

My life isn't that much more exciting than yours, Jim...

For you, Rick. It's totally me too. Lol. :) I don't know how parents that don't drink coffee do it.

Jim Richards 08-03-2013 09:32 AM

I'm chauffeuring my wife around to a couple of grocery stores. A regular super market and a Chinese supermarket. I'm having a marvelous time. ;)
