Morning Glen.

The game is over and my team gets to progress another week to the next final (a 16 point win, woohoo!).

GH85Carrera 09-13-2013 05:37 AM

Was that one of those in & out then out & in and then in and out the going in again games?

Outback Porsche 09-13-2013 05:48 AM

Na, this was a much better game - Aussie Rules Football. 36 blokes, full on contact gladiators with no padding/body armour, fighting over an oval shaped inflated piece of kangaroo skin.

Morni g all. Tgif!

I was chatting with a buddy that recently finalized an expensive divorce. He went down to his lake house to relax for the weekend. He was talking to his neighbor lady and she asked about his wife. He corrected her real fast with a "EX wife!" and the conversation changed gears. Two consenting single adults did what you are thinking.

He did not get into any details but he said he was doing things he had only fantasized about before. She is a lot more adventurous than the ex-wife. He said he was going to buy a large bottle of Vitamin E. He said if he told any details it would sound like the letters in the back of Penthouse magazine whatever those are. ;)

Ouch! Flu shot today.

GH85Carrera 09-13-2013 12:23 PM

That will make pole dancing painful.

I got a shingles vaccination a month ago. That hurt for a week or so.

And I have class next week AND a private lesson next week. Hopefully it won't be that sore for too long.

And seriously thinking about doing the Miss Oklahoma Pole next year. I graduate from level 3 next week. On to level 4 where I will be flipping upside down. I am just climbing now which can I say hurts like a booger? I swear it is like gymnastics on a pole.

Next on my list to try, acroyoga (acrobatics and yoga). :)

There is such a thing? What if you have had Chicken Pox already?

My son has had chicken pox, so I am thinking as I watch all these Shingles ads that he might be in for shingles when he gets older. As a youngster and until I was about 50 I have never had chicken pox, but have now been vaccinated and so has the youngest midget.

GH85Carrera 09-13-2013 02:18 PM

Yes, there is indeed a shingles vaccination. My mother had shingles 20 years ago. She said it hurt worse than childbirth. I figured it was a good time to get the shot. I had chicken pox as a kid. Every kid I knew had it.

I had three smallpox vaccinations! The one when I was a kid left the standard scar. The other two never "took" so it was no big deal. We had to get a smallpox shot to go to Hawaii in 1969. I never understood that.

Flieger 09-13-2013 02:23 PM

I don't remember if I had chicken pox or not. I haven't in the past 16 years or so but I can't remember back to when I was really little. I think I might have had the vaccination for it rather than the actual disease?

azzarule 09-13-2013 02:52 PM

Max, I feel so old, reading your post!! sigh

azzarule 09-13-2013 02:56 PM

interesting, just looked it up and see that the vaccine is not recommended for people until after age 60. Wonder why? it doesn't say.

GH85Carrera 09-13-2013 02:59 PM

I think my doc wanted a few more bucks. I am not quite 60 yet, not even 59!

Porsche-poor 09-13-2013 03:03 PM

been there done that. shingles sucks and you can get it even if you have had the chicken one.

RKDinOKC 09-13-2013 03:10 PM

Got all my shots and vaccinations along with the chicken pox, mumps, and measles, for all the good those vaccinations did.

Remember my Mom having shingles and her standing outside in the snow because the cold stopped the itching and burning.

Sorry for the late reply...

Had my 1 year check-up and I am all good. No cancer is ever coming back (that's how I feel anyways.)

Morning everyone!

i remember the chicken pox. mainly i remember that my sister had it at the same time. i also clearly remember that she had zero discipline about scratching the pox.... they itched like hell. she has scars.

Porsche-poor 09-13-2013 03:29 PM

I itch just thinking about it. quit will ya!!!!

Outback Porsche 09-13-2013 03:35 PM

I had crutch rot once, up in the tropics, it itched like buggery. I thought my nuts were going to drop off. Every step/movement you could feel the buggers slapping against your thighs - boing, boing, boing...
