Sweet

Rehearsal went well. First time thru a little sloppy. The mentors we invited told them so. Second 30 min set much better.

It's because of his accent.

Phew. Once again I am tired.

Sorry Sid, I wish we had time to chat more. I had some honey doos to do, and some of my own projects. I got the back 1/2 of the 911 waxed. I have been guilty of Porsche paint abuse. I have not waxed my 911 since last year. The paint was very dirty. I feel ashamed. :(

I will finish the wax job tomorrow. I had to stop and mow the yard. I waited a bit late to get started but I have lots of lights in the back yard. I was within a few minutes of finishing at the dang left rear wheel fell off! It was so dark I could not find the nut or the spacer. I had to find another nut and rig up a spacer. It was total dark when I finished.

Wtf was I thinking? Got a 20 gal fish tank. Probably kill them all off.

that sounds like a good time. i bet making the track is as fun as playing on it.

It was pretty fun... I went and dug a little more and built some jumps tonight. Ran one battery pack through the truck, but I need new tires BAD. Mine are pretty much slicks and it would not get any traction on the sandy loose dirt. All I could do is slide around randomly. I watered it a bit this evening and will do the same again tomorrow, hopefully that will settle it down enough that with some better tires I can drive it...

No big deal glen! I will see you again in a few weeks... Tweeze is coming to town for the bricktown show, so maybe we can grab bfast that morning?

Well, made the trip from OKC to Rolla and back. Mom is happy to be home, but very disoriented. Took 5 hours to get there and 6 to get home. Amazing how long two unscheduled restroom stops can take.

Found my Valentine One is evidently broken. Didn't get stopped, but narry a peep the entire trip. Passed patrols with cars pulled over 3 times, and one under a bridge. Should have been singing away. Time to send that sucker in for a referb.

About lost it laughing. Passed one of the electronic text signs near the end of a construction zone. It flashed Attention, then Prepare to Speed. Cracked me up.

A very Amazing Karma thing happened. Got stuck behind a car and a U-haul truck that were going 10 under, side by side and would not let anyone pass. I am usually very patient and just hang back and wait until one or the other finally moves, but these idiots were blocking for 10 miles. Instead of tailgating (they obviously were doing it on purpose) I decided to pass on the shoulder. Accelerated up behind the car in the right lane and pulled onto the shoulder to pass. The amazing thing was just as i pulled onto what should have been the shoulder it became a lane. It was evidently an exit/on lane for one of those areas where they store big piles of dirt for road work. It was just long enough that I pulled off the pass without actually driving on the shoulder. Couldn't have planned it better if I knew that lane was there. Kinda freaky. When I checked my mirror the jerks immediately got in the same lane and started letting everyone pass. I've never noticed an extra lane like that on the turnpike before.

Glen, Brian Swope did a really good job washing and detailing up both the GTS and Rover, and cheap compared to most detailers.

I don't either. It's like talking to my boys on the phone and they are saying,"See mommy? Do you see that? That is what I am talking about." No, I don't see. ;)

In? Out? What does that mean? We need some diagrams or video. Maybe I can find something on YouTube...

But Jeff, so impressed you typed that out to explain it to us American folks. I guess I just need to visit so you can explain this in person. Ha ha!

I must admit, the explanation was plagiarized. It confused the crap out of me, so I thought it'd really bugger you all up. :D Unfortunately, it's remarkably accurate in it's description of the game.

I'd kind of equate a test match to watching grass grow, or listening to paint dry. ;)

Beer...

Outback Porsche 09-08-2013 05:33 AM

Outback Porsche 09-08-2013 05:52 AM

Much planned for a Sunday Rick?

Rick V 09-08-2013 05:57 AM

Not too sure yet Jeff, the weather is beautiful so I am sure whatever I get into it will involve being outside. I would love to go shoot some skeet

Outback Porsche 09-08-2013 06:15 AM

Sounds like fun but I hear that they are a bugger to cook right and are hard to chew.

I got a new toy this weekend

My mate from Denver came over tonight for dinner and we gave it good test run with some TED.
