Well crap. After 6 phone calls over the afternoon the guy with the Dutch group was supposed to call me when they got to the round barn on Rt 66 failed to call. That is not far from house and a great place to meet up with them. He forgot to call me and they were just about to pull out when I called him. I don't plan to chase them down the highway so I missed them. Oh well.

GH85Carrera 10-12-2013 03:59 PM

I was curious how far the barn is from my house. It is 11 miles.

The arcadia round barn

Rudders are a bit oversized.

Actually, I'm afraid they aren't quite big enough.
The ROM is going to be much more limited than it looks like.

slodave 10-12-2013 05:33 PM

I ran air boats in my RC days. The rudders are not very big and the boat turns (turned) on a dime.

Try Live Streams - BathurstScan.com

I think this may give you audio only though Azzy

HHI944 10-12-2013 05:38 PM

Ehhh, we will see. It is an exercise in education. I'll keep that in mind though. I'm trying to figure out what top speed will be....any idea on this rig.....running a .46 2 stroke glow

slodave 10-12-2013 05:43 PM

Servo's and equipment were kept up front on my boat, though I wasn't running pontoons. Rudders are tied together with a metal rod connected to the nylon thingies. Rudder cable was glued to the boat and I believe went up the side of the engine mount and connected to another nylon thingy on one rudder. Cable for throttle was mounted the same way to the body of the boat. I don't have the boat here or I'd post some pix.

Sony put the first one out there and it costs a fortune at the moment! Those resolutions are for the pros and for playback in movie theaters, etc. The same is true for computers. There isn't a consumer video card or display that can handle above 1080 at the moment.

You can technically edit the footage with Quicktime, Premiere, GoPro's software, but you can not play it back in it's full resolution. You are not seeing the full video while editing, ususally a scaled back version. I was also having problems inside the GoPro program with some features. A PC will try and convert the video down to a playable resolution, but it's still unwatchable, as it hiccups, freezes, or just plays audio.

very interesting.

its raining.

HHI944 10-12-2013 05:48 PM

rx/battery will be mounted in a water tight box on the forward cross beam. Servos will be mounted on the engine stalk along with the fuel tank. I know I'm going to need a spoiler of some sort....havent figure out how I'm going to work that yet.

Rudders are going to be joined by control horns and rod at about mid point.
