waiting for the rocket launch, it is a lovely clear night, so should see something Zooming through the sky. as long as we can work out which way is south east lol
|
at least we are keeping an eye on it live on the computer, then when it has lifted off, we can run outside and see if we can see it. cool
|
it is too cold to be sitting outside watching the dark sky
|
I'm watching your FB link and gonna dash out and see if we can see it. I might have too many trees in the way

Mother nature boned me again with the clouds. We saw a contrail lit by the moon and nothing more

Spent four hours in the dentist's chair today. Been taking pain killers trying to sleep it off all afternoon and evening. Feels like she pounded on my face with a sledge hammer for at least some of that four hours. After all that says I still may need a root canal.

I love many of those things.

The barrel for my AR pistol build should be here tomorrow.
Anyone with build experience, I've decided to go with just Iron sights, any reason to not use a standard mil spec A2 front sight tower/gas block?? |
Boat-tailing is alright but even better is using a GT3 rear main seal. That causes the crankcase pressure to become lower than atmospheric and reduce pumping losses even more. Downside is installation requires splitting the case or so I've heard.
Think of it this way: 2 strokes use the downstroke of the piston to compress the charge for their next power stroke, so the case airflow can be quite significant. In a 4 stroke you compress the air, or at least move it, but don't use it for anything. Just wasted energy. |
Pure gold. Bwahahahahahahahahaha!

That McDonalds was originally a Howard Johnson's, and was an absolute pit when I stopped there to leave a poo a couple of years ago. Mistakenly though McDonalds would be clean. Felt I would have been risking food poisoning to eat or drink anything from there. Drove by a couple of months ago and it is closed. Looked like it is being torn down.

I was a little reluctant at first to split the case since all it needed was the heads redone. I am real glad we went all the way. One rod bearing had the start of some problems. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1384954112.jpg The rod on the right has some slight marring on the bearing surface. I was stunned to hear him say someone has been in there before. I get to blame the previous owner on something! I bought the car 18 years ago with 80,000 miles. It has 150,000 now. The engine builder found aluminum washers on the case bolts. He said they should be steel from the factory. That was likely the cause of my problems. |
Morning Everyone....
Can't wait, in a few weekends Elicia and I will be going down to the Florida Keys to visit the wedding venue and finalize everything. I need a break from this cold. |
A little nippy is not necessarily a bad thing…
