I've seen it already, Sid.

Do you have the pocket dyno app?? Paid for version or free?? Tested it yet?

porsche4life 04-19-2010 12:47 PM

Hehe.... Pocket dyno.... First app I bought.... Tested it once on public roads.... Thought I was alone.... Boy was I wrong.... Looked in the rearview at the end of the 2mi stretch I was on after running up over 100mph.... Red+blues.....

I think they popped over the hill on the little highway that runs perpendicular to the road I was on and saw the red streaking across the landscape and couldn't get a reading.... I got off with a warning.... WHEW!

Needless to say... I've not tried it again... Need to find a long stretch of pavement.....

Geronimo '74 04-19-2010 01:08 PM

Yes, instead of speeding on the road, you should do it on the pavement, run over some pedestrians, why don't you....

5-O is really going to like you then.
:D:D:D

I'm turning in, early day tomorrow, and the day after that and the day..... you get the picture...

Night Sid

porsche4life 04-19-2010 01:10 PM

By pavement.... I meant deserted stretch of road or runway....

Rick V 04-19-2010 05:12 PM

Pocket dyno, hehe that just sounds kinky

GH85Carrera 04-19-2010 05:40 PM

Yea, kinda like pocket pool.

nynor 04-19-2010 06:58 PM

with rollers.

Schumi 04-19-2010 07:08 PM

Kickin back some beers tonight gents... got my salary numbers from my new employer. I can't disclose the specifics, but let's just say it's adequate.

I'll be living within walking distance of the beach.

And I'll be buying a new daily driver here in the next month or two. Still thinking a Boxster.

If anyone is interested in my red 924S, it's now for sale. I'd love to take it with me for a DD but I now have the means for something newer.

porsche4life 04-19-2010 07:10 PM

Congrats man!

Like I said.... I'd take 'em both but there is no way I can afford 3 water pumpers right now....

Yea, congrats dude. Now just close that other deal you have been working on.

porsche4life 04-19-2010 09:40 PM

Oooooh , thin ice, Sid, thin ice.....:D

Morning guys!

Schumi, congratulations dude!
Boxsters are just fine, they're no 911, of course, but you'll enjouy the drop top over there, I'm sure.

livi 04-19-2010 10:50 PM

Guten morgen, lads.

Congrats, Schumi! If Sweden had more than the usual 20 days/year of open top driving friendly weather, I would also have a Boxster. It doesn´t..

Geronimo '74 04-19-2010 10:55 PM

Morning Marcus.

Marcus, where about in the South of Sweden do you live?
I'm thinking of going there someday and I want to know which areas to avoid.... :D:D
J/K I kinda like Sweden because it's close but completely different from Belgium. Great landscapes, trolls and stuff, you know..

nynor 04-19-2010 11:11 PM

good morning guys.

livi 04-20-2010 01:49 AM

Well, G.

Look up the southern part of Sweden, called Skåne. In the northwest part there is the city Ängelholm, by the sea. Follow the coast line some 15 km north and you will find a small village, Vejbystrand. Avoid it. :D

Geronimo '74 04-20-2010 02:13 AM

Marcus,
looks like a nice coastal village.
At first glance I see no reason to avoid it, except for maybe one of the inhabitants.... :p
Do you have a lot of tourisme there? Things to see and do?
It's only a ten hour drive, 970 kilometers....
Haven't set a date yet, probably not for this year, but I intend to go, some day. (I'll give ample warning when I do....-)

livi 04-20-2010 04:41 AM

Tourists in summer particularly at certain locations. For example, just 20 km north of my village lies the famous tennis metropolis, Båstad. During 4 weeks in the summer its like Saint Tropez.

GH85Carrera 04-20-2010 05:34 AM

G-Man & Livi, how is the ash cloud affecting the daily life?

I know airline travel sucks, but has it caused any real problems for you guys? I suspect all the trains and highways are booked solid.
