No it wouldn't trap any moisture, as the vinyl sticks to the car leaving no room for air or moisture to penetrate. I am also not taking the car to bare metal, just making it smooth because the vinyl will show any imperfections in the paint (stone chips, deep stratches, pealed layers). I will use a spray can of primer to make sure there is a layer of primer there before placing the vinyl and to help with smoothing out all the imperfections. I have a lot of stone chips on the front and flag mirrors. Plus I want to make sure there is no more peeling paint as this would cause the adhesive on the vinyls to pull away.

My vinyl is sitting at the door at home waiting for me to get back from vacation.
I'll probably give it a week or so for the temps to come up.

I was going to us the 3M brand. I was also going to remove the front fenders, bumpers, mirrors, door handles, sunroof, and deck grill to make it easy on myself, plus with wet sanding everything smooth. My front bumper is really stone chipped up. I don't know if the PO was a tail gaiter or loved to take this thing off road...lol

I am going to have to look for it, but I think I recently saw a youtube video from motor trend or some show that was showing vinyl wrap application and it happened to be an 80's 911. They showed the detail to deal with the head light areas.

'08 Civic LX. I have a metallic clunk coming from the right rear. Sounds like a heat shield is loose and contacting the exhaust/muffler (but that's not the case or I wouldn't be writing this). It rattles particularly on small stutter bumps (like when going over ripples or cracks in pavement or uneven pavement), but surprisingly isn't so bad on larger bumps (like speedbumps). On the highway it's usually absent (as long as the pavement is smooth). But on the surface streets it rattles over every crack. Makes no difference if I'm on the brakes or not (drum rears). I've crawled underneath the car and everything is bolted down solidly. No rust. Tapping on things with a mallet reveals nothing odd-sounding. The car drives and handles fine. Any TSBs on this?

TSB's I have no idea, I work on Subi but it sounds like a swaybar end link. I will ask tomorrow if one of the Honda boys has seen it.
Just slap a couple of stickers on it and you should be all good, Honda gets and extra five HP per sticker
