This what color you are wrapping the 911 Andy?

close, I was going to go with bright fluorescent pink with bright silver reflective tape for speed stripes. I want it that you have to wear shades to look at the car even at night....hahaha

AND, even better, the Aimpoint I ordered and my new canvas hood are at UPS waiting for me to pick them up in the morning!!! Hopefully, I'll get the timing set on the Series this weekend, swap the new carb in, throw the top on and get her nice and muddy.

Nice, you will have to post some pics then.

Good morning folks.

Max and the rest of you left coast guys need to sign up for the HPDE at Laguna Seca. It is set for June 21 & 22. It is seperate from Parade so you don't have to register for Parade to participate.

HPDE after the 2014 Porsche Parade

I will only be able to stick around on the 21st. I will have to get on the road for home on the 22nd.

Jim, you need to schedule another workcation for the week of Parade. It would be great to meet up you you and the Mrs.

Start old geezer voice:

Back in the early and mid 1980s we had a period in the PCA region where the majority of the club officers were single. We had some pretty wild and stupid events that would never happen now. Back before liquor by the drink was available in Oklahoma the club had its own club bar. The treasurer was the lucky guy that got to carry around a large collection of booze to events. We had some drink-a-thons where the challenge was to crawl back to your motel room and find your bed or walk back and not fall down. At one of the Tech sessions a vendor paid for a keg of good beer. It was going to be picked up in the morning full or empty. We decided to try to drink it all. It was like a college frat party in the movies.

End geezer voice:

I really DON'T miss those days.

porsche4life 02-20-2014 08:44 AM

Sounds like you were pretty good at emptying wine bottles according to Al. ;)

RKDinOKC 02-20-2014 08:57 AM

The DFW 928 group is not a club or organization, just a bunch that get together every first Saturday. Sometimes they do stuff besides breakfast, sometimes they don't.

I have some stories of Al in his single days that I promised to keep quiet in exchange for his silence about my actions.

He had the neatest bachelor pad in the city back then. It worked very well, he found a lady to marry and she flat out refused to ever live in that house. He had to move into a huge house to get married. I guess it all worked out they have been married for about 25 years or so.

Used to drink socially until became a hermit. Now drink anti-socially.

Porsche-poor 02-20-2014 12:10 PM

Rattles in the trunk? You forget to feed the monkey?

Outback Porsche 02-20-2014 01:50 PM

Afternoon Groovers.
getting the shockys fixed - hurry up and wait.
found a nice cafe to have some breaky, its attached to the Vill's pie factory, and people watch. No wimenz to look at, except Sharyn (not a bad thing I 'spose, only dodgey looking tradies going up and down the street.
