How much beer did it take for Steve and David to dance? ;)
|
Breakfast over, lovely cuppa coffee (if I do say so myself), now relaxing and deciding if we should go to DC early and go up to Georgetown way and see some sights if the weather is nice.
|
Lol Glen, a few for Steve, and David I just badgered until he come with me to the dance floor.
At one party we played Flippy Cup, funny game, I am quite good at it, even after all the beers, the girls team flogged the boys had about 40 rounds, of the amount of beer in the cup was getting smaller and smaller lol |
<<<< Is going to scream. I am still trying to find a place to go skeet shooting. Grrrrrrrrrrrr
|
rick, don't you shoot in your yard? get a thrower and some clay pigeons and hire beth to throw them. :)
|
Forget the skeet shooting, Rick. I think you need to pick a fight with a certain snowmobiler up in VT (or ME?). That'll make you feel better. Just make sure you don't GoPro the encounter. ;)

It is against the law to discharge firearms withing the town limits. Trust me my property would be awesome for shooting. Nothing but woods behind me and a huge hill a half a mile beyond.

Usually find skeet shooting a gun clubs.
Didn't go to meet up with the 928 group today. They met for breakfast in Dallas and are right now heading for the a gun club in Waco for their own skeet shooting tournament. Then they are having at late lunch at some fancy Hotel and it's off to Houston for dinner. Sunday they are attending a PCA sponsored concours. What started as a 1st Saturday DFW area breafast turned into a weekend tour. Several of the wives posted that they have been watching videos on skeet shooting and a couple of them went out and bought guns just to skeet shoot with the group. Sure makes me feel a bit left out because I have to stay here and take care of Mom. Oh well, I'm sure she missed out on a lot of things to take care of me at times. Will just have to live vicariously for a while. |
A video on FB. Some asshat was out in the woods snowmobiling and there was a moose up the trail so the guy stops and starts making noises to scare it away. The moose walks to him, and jumps on him and leaves. The guy pulls a gun and shoots it half a dozen times.

I would say active target. I will say pull and give him fifteen seconds head start then I start shooting. If he gets away he wins..........
I want to do it in that deep snow though |
I wonder how many people would watch that video and think the guy acted appropriately.

okay, found it. wow. that guy would be charged for harassing wildlife and poaching, around here. and he ought to be castrated for stupidity: not only does he provoke a moose, which is stupid, but then posts the video somewhere of him engaging in poaching. idiot.
i was fishing at silver lake, by brighton, last summer. there are always moose up there, so i am pretty careful and scope the place out. sure enough, i am fishing with a bunch of guys on a little pier of sorts, and one guy yells out that a moose is chasing some lady. i don't think the lady did anything wrong, just happened to be in the wrong place, wrong time. well, it was a young moose, but plenty big, and chasing her in circles around a big clump of willows, and she is yelling for help. this only lasts for about 30 seconds and the moose sees all of us fishing, about 6 grown men, and charges over to the pier. he stops short and all of us have our cameras out, there is nowhere for us to go, except in the water, as he is blocking our route of escape. you could see the gears turning in his head as he confronted us, "do i keep charging these guys? there is sure a lot of them..." after a few seconds, he turned around and walked off, looking for easier game. i really don't like running into moose while in the outdoors. |
It's on my timeline on F.B. D. Go watch it now because I am going to pull it. It really pisses me off
