I LOVE that Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout! Excellent choice, Glen.
|
Sounds good. I'll have to try it!
|
It is tasty beer.
Today is my actual anniversary. 22 Years. Good Friday morning folks. |
Mornin' and Happy Anniversary Glen!
|
All righty then...Happy Freakin Anniversary.
|
I got you two something for your anniversary..........snow
Please come and get it at your earliest convenience. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1394805695.jpg |
Thanks Pete, I have already had all the snow I want for a lifetime. If it never ever snowed near me again that would be fine with me. If I want to see snow I will go up north or to the mountains and see it.
I like snow even less than Rick. So long after you hear Rick say he wishes it would snow you will hear me say I still hate snow. |
Hey Max or any of the other California folks.
I know that Laguna Seca has tough noise restrictions. My 911 intake is stock. The exhaust system has a cat bypass but is stock otherwise. Will that pass the sound booth restrictions or do I need to do more? |

My car wouldn't have a chance. Happy anniversary! |
The noise limit is 92db. Street legal is 95db.
Typical meaurement is done .2 meters above ground at a 45 degree angle to the exhaust outlet and 1.5 meter away. There is an app for that. I have one called decibel but have no idea how to calibrate it. |

My exhaust is on the left.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1394808761.jpg I may have a local muffler shop make me a tip like this one for the DE. I download the app for my phone and I figured I would give it a try at the next autocross. |
My GTS would not pass sitting at the side of the track idling. I replaced the cats with an x-pipe, but did add sport cats which do the cat thing without the restriction. The killer is I removed the rear muffler. However, I do have the original muffler that would for sure pass. With the rear muffler I can't hear the exhaust even when going under a bridge getting on the throttle with my head out the window straining to hear it.
Oh yeah, the static noise test is done at 75% throttle. When I had my 944 Turbo Lindsey Racing initially fitted it with a FlowMaster muffler after the rebuild, no cat and a graduated exhaust that went from 3 in at the down pipe to 4 inch at the muffler. The sound level measured 126db at 10ft. Within 3 days driving around observing break-in rpm and throttle recommendations I got pulled over by a cop that heard it from 2 blocks away. Changed to a MagnaFlow the same size and it reduced the sound level to 92db at 10ft. |
It's Friday!
In my expert opinion... http://thechive.files.wordpress.com/...pg?w=500&h=666 Think she used vanishing cream instead of nipple lube...That thing's gonna Assplode! |
I know, I know, I know, but I have to say "gross fingernails"
I do not understand that "look" but there are many things about women's fashion I don't understand. Those fingernails and facial piercings are at the top of my yuck list. |
Maybe this will help...Warning another Gratuitous 928 new wheel picture.

I looks like a toy.
Thanks for the ride to Guthrie today! It does sound like a V8 sports car should. |
It is a toy.

I have called the shipping company twice today.
The morons still can't find a 4x4x4 918 lb box. Then they actually asked me "what does it look like?" How can I know I have never seen it and neither have they apparently. On Monday I may call BendPack and telling them to cancel that order and ship me one with a carrier that can actually deliver a crate. |
Glen...Let me guess... Beaver is the freight company?
They lost or damaged a ton of stuff for us. We are pretty sure they knocked a brand new air compressor off a freight dock. It was so bad the local agent called and told us he wasn't going to deliver it because he knew dad wouldn't accept it. Oh or the time they completely destroyed a crate with about 40k worth of signs in it. The delivered them sitting on a pallet with some boards laying on top and all of it shrink wrapped and tried to say thats how they received it... |
