ditch option.... you are a brave mofo. i did slow to 45mph on the freeway, saturday, for some arsehole that was tailgating me. then he flips me off, when he took the exit.

I did the required brake check so the lights flashed at her, it ticked her off so when she came back on my 6 I just yelled bi**H and yanked the handbrake

MD drivers tend to be the worst around Wash DC. DC drivers are a close second. VA drivers aren't too bad.

Rick V 03-18-2014 08:08 PM

Jim I came u 29 and took 15 in so that part wasn't too bad, although Leesburgh is still an arm pit.
D Required brake check is a friendly tap of the brakes just to let them know they are a tad too close. They may have their mind elsewhere and just not realize it. When they come back for round two however, it is game on.

South African BMWs can be equipped with flame throwers to prevent car-jackings.

Don't remember anyone tailgating me in a very long time. Maybe it's because I drive like a maniac.

Wanna rethink that, Alarick? I can get Noah's bike in the Corolla trunk. No way in hell is my 29er fitting into that trunk.

Running slicks on the streets also helps prevent tailgaters. :) They pull up close, start hearing the ricks that are pelting their front bumper and hood and promptly back off. No brake check needed. :D

Good hump day morning folks.

I am guessing I have a .01% chance of having my scissor jack delivered today. :(

Andy911sc 03-19-2014 05:24 AM

Happy Hump Day Glen.

Sorry to hear about delivery, I am having the same issue with my new laptop. Time to start getting MAD! It shouldn't take 4 days to deliver a new laptop from a store that I could drive too in an hour. I just didn't feel like driving up to Harrisburg and I was able to get free home delivery.

Maryland drivers are the worse. When they are behind you, they are up your arse because apparently 15 over isn't fast enough, but when they are in front of you they are 5 under the posted speed.

GH85Carrera 03-19-2014 05:31 AM

Yea, I proved my theory once again about delivery yesterday. I ordered a replacement trim piece for the 911. The rubber strip on the corner of the bumper. The old one looked great but the steel core of it had started to rust and deform. It is easy to swap and I was in no hurry. I ordered it Monday afternoon from Pelican. It arrived yesterday morning. It did not matter if it took a month to get here. It arrived in 44 hours.

GH85Carrera 03-19-2014 06:21 AM

I just called the trucking company and asked her what the excuse of the day was today. She said it did not make it on the truck today, but it has the "must deliver today" sticker on it. Of course the "must deliver today" sticker has been on it for a freaking WEEK!

I asked if she had a "Really and for sure we mean it, deliver it today dang it" sticker and she just ignored that. I did reiterate that tomorrow is the final and for sure real deadline. If I don't get it tomorrow copious quantities of the fecal material will hit the rotating blades of the air moving device at high speed causing wide distribution of aforementioned fecal material.

Noah930 03-19-2014 06:26 AM

Glen, she doesn't care. You blow a gasket and she....she still gets paid for her 8 hours. That time you wasted on the phone, she still got paid. She could care less if you get your box or not. Heck, she's probably telling the guys NOT to load it just to piss off that old man on the phone.

Unless you're dating chicks that are 4 and-a-half feet tall, it's going to be a struggle to get 2 adult-sized bikes inside a passenger car--trunk, back seat, front seat, glove box or whatever. :D But you have a bike rack, so not an issue.

Porsche-poor 03-19-2014 06:45 AM

Even if you return it and order a new one it will ship the same way.

porsche4life 03-19-2014 08:09 AM

Not necessarily David. If you request that they ship with old dominion or you won't buy it, I bet it'll get there on time. If glen is dealing with the shipped I think he is, he's fairly well screwed.

Outback Porsche 03-19-2014 09:57 AM

G'day all.

I'm within stones throwing distance of the mainland now. Just entered Port Phillip Bay about 20min ago. Must of had a tail wind as we're running about a half hour early. Expecting to dock in about an hour and a half.

The strait had a pretty good swell going in the middle. It was nice to get rocked to sleep, although I've prolly only had about 3hrs all up.

Got an hour and a half drive once I'm clear of the docks to get to Sharyn's parents, then I can have a proper snooze.

No rest for the wicked though, off to watch a game of football this evening.

Jim Richards 03-19-2014 10:49 AM

Sounds like fun, Jeff!

porsche4life 03-19-2014 11:24 AM

A little WTF for you guys..
