Damn- I'm in Rolla right now, but I'm heading to St. Louis tomorrow for an optometrist appointment.

What are your plans for Friday night after dropping the trailer?

Good morning guys.

I got my spring plates off last night. Now all I have left to do is R&R the rubber bushings and re assemble. I suspect that will take longer than removal.

I am off to work to earn some jack so I can keep Wayne profitable and he will continue the board. See the sacrifices I do for you.

I have a sister and her fambly in Rolla. Made the trip from OKC to Rolla in 4 hours one 4th of July in a 928GT. That included stopping for a meal in Joplin. Made it back in the same time.

Phffffftttttt. You piker.

700 bucks ain't nothing. I have lots of "while I am in there" upgrades and fixes. I have that much in torsion bars and shocks alone. Add in 4 new rotors and brake pads, caliper rebuild kits, ball joints, turbo tie rods, bump steer kit, front and rear sway bar bushings, coil, fuel pump, tensioner oil lines, and lots more. I don't want to add up all the parts.

I bet I have a couple of hundred in new tools just to do everything.

The crazy thing is I am having fun doing it all.

This is like comparing scars. I really don't want to total my parts cost. I know it is more than my 1st brand new car cost. It is less than my new 1974 2.0 914 cost (so far).

I could run a report in Quicken and know to the penny, but that ain't gonna happen. I don't wanna know.

$700??? That's like an OEM shock for a series rover (OK, you might be able to get 1 shock and 1 leaf spring for that)

Just bumping back to page one.

It looks like I am going on a sailplane ride Sunday. That should be an interesting diversion from working on the rear suspension.
