I thought it was all about the air.

One more wall to skim coat in the master bedroom. Then sanding and painting. Oh boy!

That's the premise I was running under.

My sister-in-law sanded all the texture off their walls without a skim cost. It was a dust fest. Don't think they had the dust reduction coating stuff back then though.

Changed the Oil in the Disco yesterday....I'm beginning to despise that truck...it turns the simplest jobs into a god awful mess. Friggin hole in the belly pan where you get at the oil filter is so small the filter barely fits through it and, unless you have the truck at just the right angle, oil always spills into the pan and not through the hole. I've gotten into the habit of keeping a fire extinguisher with me for the first 100 miles after an oil change.....just in case. All that griping aside, the darn truck has been pretty good...I've put about 15000 miles on it and have spent under 1k in non-regular maintenance.

My parents house had the popcorn ceiling. I felt sorry for whoever has to scrape all of that off and paint the ceilings. The walls were plaster and lattice.

I need to call the kid that bought that house and ask to come see the transformation.

Funny isn't it. Jeff I can infer a bit, Joe starts talking about whojamanicottibiscuits and I can't quite figure it out.

Porsche-poor 05-22-2014 08:26 AM

"whojamanicottibiscuits" could be lots of things. Car parts. Rotten neighbors. The resident pond gator.

HHI944 05-22-2014 08:30 AM

In order:
GD Chinese garbage
Nut job felon twat
And dead, if it walks on my porch

Autocorrect doesn't like the word twat......twat, twat, twat

flipper35 05-22-2014 08:32 AM

David, my point exactly.

Joe, isn't that the past tense of tweet? Why would it have a problem with that?

And now for something completely different, my wife named our car. It shall now be known as Steve. Anyone care to guess why?

Porsche-poor 05-22-2014 08:34 AM

"whojamanicottibiscuits" see covers it all in one word.

cause the male voice for the nav system is a little light in his loafers?

flipper35 05-22-2014 08:36 AM

Ah, now I am getting the Joeisms. Just depends on the inflection I suppose.

By the way Joe, isn't Chinese and garbage redundant?

RKDinOKC 05-22-2014 08:44 AM

Instead of Steve, thought is was Baruce.

If I had bought a new Carbon Viper maybe. If I had that kind of cash I wouldn't be still fixing the '71, I would have shipped it to Rick with a side of beef and a bushel of taters and a keg of whatever softdrink/tea he likes.

That's my plan save money up and send him the car or fly him out.

flipper35 05-22-2014 09:23 AM

It probably would be cheaper to fly him and Beth out. Just make sure it is sometime between May and September here. Though one year at the Dayton airshow in late June we had a high of 41*. All the coffee/hot chocolate places sold out early.

We have some friends that grow and sell Angus beef. When we bough our new house they brought over a bunch of steaks for a housewarming gift. I love those people. Known them since I was in jr. high.

Porsche-poor 05-22-2014 09:36 AM

I just hope that the oil cap fixes the problem if not I guess its on to the next task.
