Beth and I capped off our long weekend with a hike along the Appalachian trail to a couple of waterfalls, on the way back up the hill we stopped so Beth could catch her breath and just about twenty yards away was the biggest black bear I have ever seen in the wild, I am guessing 1,000lbs. It wasn't interested in us at all but I was real interested in getting my spoon out of my backpack. Very cool way to end the hike and Beth somehow managed to find the energy to walk at a decent pace the last half an uphill mile.

It is called motivation.

No way do I want your job Rick. I would starve as a professional mechanic. I bet it took me 6 work hours over three days to adjust the valves and change the oil. And that is with a lift in an air conditioned garage.

I would want to charge over a grand plus parts for that. Not many customers I figure.

Ordered some new bouncy things for the old war horse today. Hopefully they'll be here by the weekend.

Looks nice, Jeff. SmileWavy

Getting up at 7AM was tough. The real test is tomorrow, when I'm back in the office. I get up before 5AM.

GH85Carrera 07-07-2014 05:17 AM

Good Monday Morning folks.

Wake up! SmileWavy

The traffic was heavy this morning. The first 2.5 miles I saw 4 other cars on the road. :( At least a dozen more cars in the next three miles.

I need a nap.

Jim Richards 07-07-2014 05:23 AM

No, I need a nap.

Porsche-poor 07-07-2014 07:00 AM

argh! Monday sucks.

Morning all. Hoping to hear that the 911 is ready for pick up, then I need to find a willing driver to get me there.

That is one reason I work on my own cars. I hate the process of getting the car to and back from a shop. I do know my limits and pay for the stuff I can't or just don't want to mess with.

Porsche-poor 07-07-2014 07:12 AM

I had chased this with Rick as far as I could take it. Come to find out it was missing a plug in the CIS system. They had the fun part of finding the NLA parts.

Jim Richards 07-07-2014 07:15 AM

How long has your car been under the knife, David? What was wrong with it?

It sounds like it needed to bleed off some excess funds from David's bank account.

Old Porsches are like that. :p

(insert favorite Joeism here)

The front evaporator in the truck seems to be plugged or otherwise not working properly. The rear A/C works fine, the front not so much. It is full of refrigerant. We had it filled not long ago with added dye because there is a slow leak somewhere, but it was topped off and still doesn't blow cold up front. Condenser is fairly clear of debris.
