The Concours was today. It was real convenient since it was just outside the hotel at the golf course. I parked my car at the Porsche coral. My car is the white 911 just behind the two guys.

There were 5 different 911 GT3 RS there today. The factory had a cool car, (actually several) it was the 911 GT3 cup car that won the Pikes Peak hill climb. It beat the old record buy over 30 seconds. It was the fastest two wheel drive production based car. The only cars faster were tube frame and 4 wheel drive.

The cars were amazing like every year.

One guy was there with his 356-C that he bought NEW in 1965. It was 100% original. The engine has never been out of the car. It has 45,000 miles on it. It is an amazing car. There was a 904, and Carrera GT and just an overload of cool Porsches.

I've narrowed my problems down... I think its a weak fuel pump... I swapped the FPR and it still won't start.... Went to town to get a pressure gauge to no avail...

So I went down in the pasture and found a mud hole...

Mud hole wasn't deep enough. :)

Ya... But it was spur of the moment... I had my wallet and Iphone in my pocket.... Really didn't wanna go down....

I just got back from the Fireworks show. It was right along the river. It was a nice show. I never did get any local to say for sure the name of the river. I think it is the Fox river in down town St Charles.

Morning guys!
How was our weekend???

slodave 07-04-2010 10:31 PM

We're still on weekend here... Still listening to fireworks and gun fire here, having a couple more beers. Tomorrow's a national holiday to celebrate today.

Geronimo '74 07-04-2010 10:39 PM

4th of July, forgot about that.
Our "Independance day" is 21st of July. (July 21 1831, Our first king took the royal oath)
It passes unnoticed, for me at least.
We get a day off from work, which is never bad of course.

livi 07-04-2010 10:42 PM

Happy days, its Monday again! Good morning!

Geronimo '74 07-04-2010 10:48 PM

5 more days of work, then 3 weeks of play!

morning doc

Part of my plans for this evening fell through... Ended up watching fireworks with my family and a friend ;) at grandmas house.... The apartment complex across the way gave some light pollution so I gave up on the photos....

Then we went out to the house and shot off a few of our own... Guess who got burned by a fuse trying to shield from the wind....

Geronimo '74 07-05-2010 12:50 AM

Some nice pictures there, Sid.
Too bad 'bout those powerlines.
Oh, and I don't see your friend anywhere... ;)
