I gave thought to the sniper idea where this situation was concerned and it would have been a very very easy shot, even I could have done it with ease but the problem lies in the glass on the store front. Deflection of a stray bullet is something you just can not predict.
Now if they had taken out the glass with beanbag rounds it would have been over in seconds but he may have started shooting patrons first. The risk isn't worth it.

I did notice that the second the store breaching started all of the live feeds went down. Class act Australia, give the little chicken 5hit puke no glory and do not share it with anybody. I was very impressed with hoe the police handled it. Top notch

The other thing they had to consider about the glass is that the building was formerly a bank. That glass on the shop front was a bit 'special' and it has since come out that the sniper thing wasn't an option as it was far too risky.

Time for the fart sack. Night all.

GH85Carrera 12-16-2014 06:47 AM

Again, I was not there and I know very little of what was the reality of the situation was. I do know thermal imaging would show where every person was. Every other person in the entire area had been evacuated. A 50 cal can punch through a thick piece of steel. Set up two snipers. As soon as the first shot is fired the second sniper takes a second shot. There may well have a hole in the building behind the store but there will be two large holes in the idiot terrorist.

Even a 50 will deflect when hitting glass, especially bank glass. I would hate to be the one that made the call to try it. but they should have used these.

I love that Richard
Jim, I am sure I am not high on the list of priorities for that shop right now but I am keeping my stuff moving. They have eleven tech in that shop so I am sure the service manager stays hopping

porsche4life 12-16-2014 12:37 PM

Haha! Rick I get tons of comments on the beard! It has fleece inside to insulate and warm the face, works quite nice!

GH85Carrera 12-16-2014 12:58 PM

Wow Sid, that no shave November was carried out too long. You really need to trim your beard.

Rick V 12-16-2014 03:17 PM

Here I am throwing logs on a fire and Sid is posting pics of snow

RKDinOKC 12-16-2014 03:24 PM

It is like it is winter or something?! It was in the 40's all day today even though the sun was bright.
