Capaldi, on the other hand, is friggin brilliant!

I thought Amy was the cutest but Clara seemed to have more character and she's pretty much equal to Amy in looks I'd say. Seems to vary with her hair style.

I just wonder who they will get to replace her next season. Couple tough acts to follow.

In 21 years, enough to call ourselves locals.

Just spent 2 hours down town hunting and gathering for tomorrows feast. Had to hold my breath a few times, it's worse than a wet dog.

Clara is definitely incredibly attractive, Amy just ticks off more boxes for me.

Dr. Who, English Sci-Fi show that started in the 60's or something but in the past 10 years has been revitalized and increased in popularity. The plots are very complex and interwoven and it is hard to follow without having watched the past seasons already.

Basically, the Doctor is a time travelling alien (who looks like a human) and he has a companion (the pretty girl) who is along for the ride. Usually the companion meets the doctor seemingly by accident but then it is revealed there is a reason for the meeting (remember the time traveling stuff). They have lots of adventures and sometimes the plots touch on matters of religion or human rights and stuff like that.

Each actor who plays "the doctor" gets a season or two, then the doctor "regenerates" (he gets "killed" but as an alien he basically rises like a Phoenix in a new form rather than dying, allowing them to introduce a new actor). Each actress who plays "the companion" gets a season or two as well, then they return to their normal life on earth after having one too many close calls while travelling the vastness of time and space with the doctor.

They usually stagger the transitions so that one doctor will have had two companions, each companion will have had two doctors. Helps maintain continuity in a show that has very little otherwise, other than the retro "baddies" like the Daleks and Cybermen.

Billie Piper wasn't bad either, as Rose.

Honestly, I just watch it for the girls. Any interesting plot stuff is just a bonus. :D I haven't watched a full season in a few years.

HHI944 12-23-2014 08:54 PM

River was a pretty enticing cougar as well.....just sayin

Flieger 12-23-2014 09:07 PM

Yeah, you can see where River got it from. ;)

HHI944 12-23-2014 09:15 PM

Definitely. The dynamic between River and 11 was really fun as well

Rick V 12-24-2014 03:51 AM

Morning Y'all,
It is raining like pouring pi55 out of a boot, and the temp has gone up over night, I'll take that little bonus

RKDinOKC 12-24-2014 04:12 AM

Good Morning Rick, and "The Others," You know who you are.

Outback Porsche 12-24-2014 04:28 AM
